Today I had a lovely morning at the vets office.  I brought Jersey in for a booster shot and general check over.  I had some time in the waiting room but I didn’t mind.  I met a lovely mannered 7 yr old Rottweiler and a Australian Shepard pup callled Chewbacca!  The owner of the pup had a veritable zoo at home and it was interesting the variety of pets they had (cockatoos, canaries, macaws, bunnies…)  . Best of all I met a little black otter netherland cross named Max and his Mum!  Sweet!

Think I’m going to make more excuses to hang out down there more often!

Jersey did really well and now we’re home and she’s sulking!  She’s officially 5lbs (2.3 kg) and teeth, ears, eyes and general body tone are all in great shape.

Raisins all round – my shout!

So many nice people to meet at the vets office.  Thats nice. All animal lovers. I saw a purebred Timber wolf once. HE was absolutely gorgeous. He stood up to my waist too. Very big tall animal.  Very friendly   I always wanted a wolf. Not now though.  My poor buns would be missing.

That would be awesome BT! Any dogs I see with that wolf-like look, I just stop in my tracks. They are so stunning!

Wolf-like dogs are just gorgeous. I always want to steal them…but they’d be a bit hard to hide

Our vet has a hand reared budgie that I love, so every time I go to the vet,I have a fantastic time, it’s just the bunnies who hate it.

So good the hear that jersey is healthy (and almost happy) – esp good teeth!

hehe I love going to the vet (for non emergencies), surrounded by animals and animal products. I did work experience at a vet clinic and the highlight was doing an ultrasound on a ferret. I love ferrets and she had babies!!!! I just hate paying the vet……

that’s great to hear, so glad Jersey is doing well!

it’s funny going to my vet with my son. he is a little bit afraid (or maybe hesitant?) of dogs he doesn’t know, regardless of their size. my parents and sis-in-law have big dogs, so he’s used to them, but at the vet he will freak out. there was an itty bitty dog there (no bigger than Max my 5-pounder) and Michael was SO scared. i had to protect him from this teeny tiny dog. i was petting it and it was licking me and so cute, but not Michael, he’s standing ON the chair in reception so it could not reach him… lol.

he thinks nothing of a bunny zooming around him, but a dog and it’s the apocalypse… lmao.

edited to add:  he is also like that with cats sometimes.  most of the cats there are in carriers of course, but the office cats scare him…
