My poor Huckleberry… Earlier this evening, Huckleberry somehow snuck into the people bedroom and wound up locked in there for a few hours. She chewed the cord to my boyfriend’s headphones into 2 pieces. I went looking for her, thinking it was odd that I ate an entire meal without her trying to intercept my food. I found her sitting in the bedroom in a corner looking scared. I picked her up and she nuzzled under my chin, usually she tries to fillet me. Greg groaned and I think Huckleberry knew she had done something bad. She walked around behind him, bumping his ankles. He left for a motorcycle ride and so she jumped up and cuddled with me, ears back, head down and teeth clicking. It was like she was saying “Im sowy Mama, I cant help it, I gots ta chew… is Daddy mad?” It broke my heart. Maybe I have finally fallen off the cliff and landed in crazy-town but I am sure she actually knows she upset him and feels bad about it. Now she is giving kisses to her pillow.

Have your buns ever said they were sorry?

I don’t know if he was saying sorry or just trying to get out of trouble, but Eddie would always come up and give my toes kisses when I would yell at him for something. LOL Lolli just hops off and binkies when she gets in trouble.

LOL perhaps that’s all it was.
She always binkies when I yell, like Lolli. I guess that is why it surprised me so much. She never acts like this.

On a side note, she just made the most bizarre noise. It sounded like a quiet whoopi cushion like a higher pithed whine. She has never made a noise before, except an excess of grunts and some clicking. What was that? Did she pass gas? Can rabbits even do that?

Rabbits can fart. Lolli did once when I picked her up. But I smelled it more than heard it. lol

Not sure what the sound could be. I’m sure other’s will have an idea. Lolli sneezed once and it was like a higher pitched growl, but she immediately cleaned her face afterwards though.

LOL Casey! 😡 Huckle knows how to get to the heart of her humans, despite her brattiness

Chacha never apologizes Ever. I believe Huckle has a good heart, but my bunny believes she owns the apartment, so she thinks she has nothing to apologize for LOL.

Is she still making the clicking noise with her teeth? Can you hear it without holding her near your head?

No, not that I know of at least. She usually makes that noise when I am petting her or I am about to give her a treat.
The squeak was just the once.

Just checking. I didn’t want to do a major panic attack for you. In my mind – a major attitude change + tooth chattering = she got into something she shouldn’t have and was sick.

But it actually sounds just fine.

She’s playing you for a sucker! Bindi does that all the time after doing something bad. How can you get mad at them? That guy could destroy something worth $1000.00 and I’d still be like “Oh, come here, snuggle bun”. At least we’re all in crazy-town together!

Haha, when Spencer does something he’s not supposed to (like nibble walls and books shelves) he just looks at me like, “what, I’m not supposed to do this?” and then does it again. When Kate does something bad, she lets me know in no uncertain terms that it was my fault. Brats.

I don’t know about guilty, but Peppy will thump at me BEFORE engaging in behaviors that I try to negatively reinforce (like chewing carpet, chewing the baseboards, etc). If anything, she’s telling me “I’m going to do it, and you better not stop me!” Sigh, my bratty little girl…

When I pick Franz up, sometimes he really really wants down and will bite my arm. Then he will lower his head and give me kisses, and I swear he’s saying sorry cause he knows he hurt me. So far the damage total on headphones and ipod cables is $260. Lol.
