Maryann and Dono are coming into my cube Wed morning as they are spraying my apartment for bugs. The good news is that the exterminators use an ultra pet-friendly spray.

i have always thought it would be fun to bring the bunnies into work, I have plenty of room in my office, I am just afraid if they got loose they would find some way to bring down network since they have an affinty for chewing on wires

yeah that is a possibility… i had no phone hooked up here all morning because, unbeknownst to me, pinky had chewed through the phone line.  of course she founf the 12″ that DIDN’T have cord protector on it.  baby bun is so low key that getting used to pinky’s bratiness has been really really funny.  it’s like having a 2yr old child in here when she’s out & about!

How nice K&K! I would love to carry everybody to work!!! But imagine the mess. And in Lemon’s case, I am sure she never wants to go back to school…  (Remember that’s where I rescued her from?). Pleas take some pics of her there!! Is she having fun, or does she look nervous?

Oh how cool … that would be so much fun.   I remember when this guy bought his baby dog into work and put it in the in tray … so cute.

Bunny could do the office shredding.

i’ve always loved the idea of office pets. like people who work from home but see clients there, or have a small office space and bring their pet there during the day. it’d be cool to have a bun in that capacity, but they would have to be very friendly so as to not get freaked by the different people coming and going.

at my vet’s office, they have two office cats that are always lying EVERYWHERE. on the counters, in the exam rooms, they just wander around. at the first appt there i was waiting to check out and i saw the cat walking thru the waiting room. the receptionist was on the phone and i got really worried b/c i thought IT WAS A CLIENT’S PET!!! that had escaped and was roaming around. i told the receptionist after she got off the phone and she laughed at me. she said it was one of the office cats!

Heheh sorry couldn’t update yesterday-our power went out (it seems a semi-truck backed over the power box)…So we spent the afternoon just visiting in the dark and waiting to see if power would be restored (it wasn’t) and then got to leave a bit early!

Kahlua was a little miffed about being held so long and passed around from lap to lap (as she’s pretty scared of heights; being in a lap is no problem but being passed is pretty scary). She actually didnt’ poop or pee on my desk (that I can see yet) Another good thing about her fear of heights is I was able to put her on my desk and know she wouldn’t jump down!!

This man I work with, who loves rabbits and grew up with them (his kids want one, but his wife won’t agree) brought his wife in to meet her-she was very excited and thought she was sooo cute. Kahlua got lots of attention and was sooo tuckered out at the end of the day, she flopped and slept on the way home in the car!!! LOL

Scooter here. I once brought Aeryn to my lecture. We were both on our way out of town and had the then-three bunnies in to deliver them to our bunny sitter for the week. After I set up, I walked through the lecture hall and let students pet her, and had her in the pet carrier for the rest of the lecture before getting her and the others to the sitter.

It actually turned out quite fitting, as the lecture was a midterm review. The posted lecture notes were entitled something like “Midterm Review from Aeryn the Adorable” and were strewn with pictures of Aeryn with captions that had something to do with the material being covered. The students did rather well on that one too, so I guess it all worked!

Overheard later from two girls: “And Dr. Wong was holding her, like a proud father!”

My best friend is a phycologist and is starting up an animal assisted thereapy program. This means that she uses her dog, who is a highly trained therapy dog to interact with her patiants and help with their therapy.
I have suggested she train up some bunnies to be therapy buns! You would have to make sure they were very sociable and friendly.
(This friend also has two Maine Coon cats that she is training as therapy cats…takes them to puppy school and they have learnt to sit!)
I think there may be a place in the workforce for bunnies…will help to educate people too.

I think it is a lovely idea  … either a cat/dog/bunny to interact with patients … it helps tremendously with their well being and health… I don’t think Luey would be a very good candidate though … NOOOO!

One option may work … I could bring Luey to work with me … sort out my boss when he won’t let me go home early or take a long lunch break for shopping sprees.  Now that is a good idea LOL.
