I did a big veggie shop at the market this morning, and thought to myself that I should compile this same stuff at the supermarket and compare the price (which I haven’t done yet). That got me wondering how much people around the world spend on their veggies. So I thought I could turn it into a fun game where you guess how much I spent on all of this fruit and veg (itemised list below the photo). Keeping in mind I spend in Australian dollars
While we may look like healthy eaters, truth be told, 80% of this is for Dory (it’s parrot chop making week), then about 15% for the bunnies, and 5% for the humans

In approximate top to bottom, left to right, we have;
Kale (1 bunch), coriander (1 bunch), fennel, radishes (1 bunch), romaine lettuce (1 head), silverbeet (1 bunch)
Apples (3), carrots (1 bag 1kg), tomatoes (2), button squash (1), kiwi fruit (3), continental cucumber (1), zucchini (1), snow peas (1 bag)
Bananas (5), butternut squash (1/2), corn (4 cobs), red capsicum (4 small), sweet potato (1).
I also bought 2 brown onions which I forgot in the bag for the photo.
Guess away!!
Once there’s been a fair amount of guesses, I’ll tell you how much I spent (and try to remember how much each individual thing cost). When I’m at the supermarket next week I’ll take the list with me and compare prices there as well
