I’ve been noticing as I start playing with my bunny that she grunts when I start moving her balls around. She’ll also do it when I roll it torwards her. She’ll then grab the ball and paw at it in a digging motion or throws it around and she’ll grunt as she does that and sometimes so much that she eventually sneezes. I thought she was angry at first and was attacking the ball, but I’ve also read that it could mean she’s happy. Is there anyway to tell the difference?

Bunston used to play this way! Same thing, he would “attack” balls if you rolled them at him. Normally grunting is angry, but in this case I think it is playing. Kinda like when dogs growl sometimes when playing tug of war?

If she grunts when you rearrange things in her cage though, she probably is angry and being territorial because she doesn’t want you moving her stuff around.

Asriel did this when he hit puberty! He stopped after his neuter, but for an entire month you could roll a ball to him and he’d grunt and throw it around rather violently. It was so cute. Now he’s too busy eating hay and hardly ever touches his toys. Chubby little thing.

My bun Lola will like try to bite at her side sometimes, when she does this she grunts a little. Is this normal? Also on her back by her tail there’s a patch of fur that looks like she’s shedding, some of its loose and falls off when I hold her

My bunny’s got fixed months ago, so I don’t think it’s a hormonal thing. She only grunts when playing with me though. I just think it’s weird she gets all worked up and then lets out a weird sneeze/choking sound.
