I have 5 bunnies (all of which are neutered / spayed) and they all seem to get along fine except our oldest bun and the youngest. The oldest Sorrel (male) is keeps chasing and charging our youngest Willow (also male) and nipping him. Its not constant but it is pretty regular and recentely Sorrel has started spraying everywhere as well. I have tried stress bonding them but it doesn’t seem to be helping and Sorrel even nips Willow when they are huddled together during stress bonding sessions. Please help me i don’t know what else to do!!
Here is a run down of our colony (in the order we got them) in case it helps:
Sorrel (m) – our first rabbit, aggressive to Willow but gets on fine with the others, loves Juni and is quite territorial towards her, refuses to groom any of the other rabbits and I think he considers himself in charge although I think in actuality Juni is in charge. Seems to be almost fear aggressive or territorial aggression as is super timid when picked up and gets stressed quite easily.
Logan (m) – a very sweet boy who is a little timid, was almost neurotic when we first got him but has settled down very well. Is a very chilled out rabbit but doesn’t really like to be petted and becomes quite timid if we try. Is very sweet with all the other buns and grooms them all. Will herd Sorrel off if he tries to chase Willow too much and spends a lot of time with Willow, Juni and Rowan equally cuddling up to all of them.
Juniper (f) – is the only bun who will stand up to Sorrel, does her own thing most of the time, spends time cuddled up to both Sorrel and Logan and will tolerate Rowan and Willow but they’re not super friendly. I have noticed that she is paying Willow a bit more attention recently and has even been grooming him and I wonder if this has bought out Sorrels jealous streak!
Rowan (f) – Rowan is a cute, goofy girl who loves attention and gets on well with the other buns, she loves willow and logan and tolerates Juni and Sorrel, Sorrel has started showing her more attention recently.
Willow (m) – the baby of the group very sweet and cuddly, love strokes and gives a lot of kisses! gets on well with logan and rowan, is tolerated by Juni and she has actually been giving him more attention recently but for some reason Sorrel hates him!
