So I bought al these wonderful greens for my rabbit, cilantro, red elaf lettuce, romiane, another one I cant rememeber, dandilion greens and some carrot tops.

I went to add the carrot tops to the bunch in the drawer and everything is wilted EXCEPT the dandilion leaves and parsely. Whats going on, I havent had this issue before Oreo doesnt seem to mind eatting it and it is still ncie and green just limp.

ANy ideas as to what is causing this all of a sudden?

Best to keep everything wrapped separately. Some may go bad quicker than others naturally, so if all grouped together, they can cause others to go bad to. Like how ripe bananas help other fruits ripen quicker. Also, having them wrapped will prevent moisture loss. Fridges cool by extracting the warm air and the moisture goes with it. Anything exposed will have the moisture drawn out and it’s left dry or limp. I know – a pain!

Tomotoes make other veggies wilt and rot

Any wilting/rotting veggies will spead up wilting/rotting of your others.

If they are just wilty you can feed them, but rotting is not OK for bunnies to eat

This is what I do to keep parsley and lettuce from wilting too soon: remove all rubber bands or ties, wet several paper towels (not soaking, just moistened), wrap around greens and put back in original bag, twist bag slightly to close and store in vegetable crisper. I always do this if the lettuce at the store isn’t in the greatest shape when I get it (which happens a lot in winter here)

Wonderful, I am going to go home and try to revive my veggies now LMAO, I was pre-ripping and cuttin and puttin into a zip lock bag after so they were a little wet still and it was working maybe I will go back to try that also if need be or walkin up every couple days and gettin different veggies etc.

That brings another another question also which veggies keep better then others.

Rachel Ray on Food Network says to do approximately the same as LPT suggests. She includes cleaning the greens first, though, and then wrapping the stems in damp papertowels.

My buns rip through greens so fast they don’t have a chance to wilt. I buy 2 at a time (parsley and romaine, then cilantro and green leaf, etc), so they get variety, without having too much to spoil. I have to buy a new batch every other day, or so, so they still get many kinds (or as many as I can find in the store…no dandelion greens or carrot tops or watercress here!) over the course of the week.

I store all my veggies in tupperware … they last me 7-10 days … however, tupperware is expensive but try other plastic containers as they are cheaper and they work just as well and keeps veggies nice and crisp.  I bung all veggies in together and wash them when they are needed.
