Grooming of the bunnehs

Soooo somehow I lost my grooming supplies.  I think when my friend was over she moved them and I have no clue where she put them.  I’ve looked everywhere.  So I went out and bought new nail clippers but didn’t realize I lost my comb too!  That is a problem because it’s hard to find.  I don’t even remember what it’s called.  =(  My babies need to be brushed and I have nothing to do it with!  

What should I do?  What brush/combs do you use?  Anything I can get from petco/petsmart or will I have to order soemthing?  

I just clipped their nails.  Rascal is easy peasy but Valentine needs to be bunny burritoed. I couldn’t clip her back claws though.  Oh! And I found out she has a broken nail.  Like it was curved and I thought it had just grown more than the others but with closer examination it was BROKEN!  She either did it coming down from the condo or from digging at the rug.  I think it was probably digging at the rug.  It seems a little tender because when I touched it she would move her paw.  It’s not bleeding or anything.  Should I take her to the vet or just keep an eye on it?  I feel bad because I didn’t notice it sooner.  She wasn’t limping or anything.

I have a nice brush called a Zoom Groom, bought int he cat aisle at petco. It works wonderfully on the shorter fur of 3 of my buns. Squirrel’s fluffy butt needs a comb to get it all

I use different brushes for each bun (and they’re both lops, so fairly similar fur), so it’s hard for me to recommend one thing. I would look for a small slicker brush (works really well for one of my buns) and something like the hairbuster comb that BB sells. You can probably find both in a regular petsore (definitely the slick at least – I’d look for the ones made for cats or small animals). Those are my two brushes I use the most. I have a Furminator, but I find it cuts and pulls the fur and my buns don’t like it.
