        Tuppence is moulting.

She looks such a state right now that I thought I’d share a photo. Any idea how best to sort this look out? We’re brushing everyday! Poor thing – I can’t stop laughing at her!

Oh no, I thought my Monster was bad but yours is like 10 times worse. :’D How long has she been that way? Brushing can trigger molting, so if she has been like this for long and you have been brushing every day for long I would try stop brushing her and see if it fixes itself.

I’m not sure where you live but the weather here (EU) has been abnormally hot, causing Monster to go through a long molting phase again. Maybe she has the same.

            I’m in the UK
This is her first big moult since I’ve had her and the fur that’s growing back is seriously short.
I’ve just found a little bald patch on her side as well while having a cuddle. The other 2 groom her constantly too.
I haven’t brushed her in a day or so and I’ll take your advice and just leave her for a bit!
Otherwise she’s her usual loving self!

Awww I can’t see your photo – but I bet is funny and adorable at the same time… I would just think as long as you are getting it off and she’s not ingesting it… but I’m no expert.

Sadly there isn’t much you can do when they look so funny during a molt other than wait it out! My Julep just finished her molt and has grown back the “saddle” that all came out at once. It was so funny with her very short fur. She also grew a stripe at the top of one ear, so that is new and exciting! If the bald spot seems to be irritated you can put a little bit of coconut oil on it. This is ok for bunnies to ingest if any of them decide to groom that spot. It has helped Julep in the past when she has irritated bald spots. Just keep gently brushing until it’s all over! And enjoy the funny fur while it lasts! Eventually all of it will grow back the way it is supposed to.
