After spending the evening hiding from me, Wooly was finally caught off guard by my husband and was captured. Hehe! He was really determined to avoid that brush at all costs. Anyway, I was brushing Wooly while he was sitting in my lap. I have been really careful, trying to get him brushed as best I can. If there is a mat, it’s usually a small clump that is just hanging on and I can easily use finger nail clippers to snip it off. Well last night, I noticed these thick spots. There was one on each shoulder. They weren’t really full blown, clumped together mats. The fur was thickened and tangled though and you could tell that mats were beginning to form. I was trying to separate them, but I wasn’t having much luck. They were buried deep under his fur, so I wasn’t wanting to try cutting them. Wooly was getting mad at me too. He was nipping at me. Of course these were Wooly bites and not Leopold bites, I wasn’t phased by it too much. LOL
Any suggestions?
