Last night I was eating a grapefruit that I had peeled and was eating in sections like an orange (less messy that way)- and Griffin jumped on the couch and was trying to get to it.  So I let him see it thinking that would cure his curiousity- but he ate a few bites and once I held it so he could not eat anymore- the little stinker nipped by pinky finger in protest.  I had to scrub my hands to get all the graprefruit scent off after I was done eating because all he wanted to do was lick my fingers- which I think would have led to a nibble- which I was not OK with.

I know that bunnies are supposed to like oranges- though I have never offered them.  But grapefruit?  Griffin is such a weirdo- first the potato and now the grapefruit.  Well, at least he definitely appears to not be a picky eater at all.

He is a weirdo :~) At least you won’t have a problem getting him to try new things. Potatoes, grapefruits…what next!

The white part of a grapefruit is Mops’ favorite. I just wonder if it’s bad for him, so bitter.

Pepper managed to get a lemon out of the grocery bag once, and ran off with it.  Then I heard a THUMP from the hallway.  I looked out to see her sitting next to the lemon that had a large bite out of it – apparently she was THUMPing at the lemon for being sour.

That is hilarious  wendyski  your bun thumping at the lemon cuz it was sour.  rofl.

Once years n years ago I had a hamster.  I had given him some potato.  I didn’t see him for 3 days.  He was in his little hamster house trying to get over an upset stomache.  I never gave him a potato again poor guy.

He made it thru and became his normal self again.

Haha- that cracked me up picturing a bun thumping at a lemon! This reminded me of a funny too. My boyfriend’s dog (not a bun I know, but she is such a sweetie and she and Chubs got along great when Chubs was visiting!) Indy thinks that she is part human and that she needs to eat everything we do. We don’t indulge her on everything of course but she is going on 15 years old so we do give her more than we should of people food. Anyways, my boyfriend Kc likes to eat lemons oddly enough and he put a little slice on the floor for Indy. She took a big lick and then proceeded to growl at it for being sour. Haha. She could see he was still eating it though so she tried again, and repeated the growling. She continued to do this until Kc had finished his lemon slices. Goofy dog!

Pepper is like a toddler in that she blames the world for her problems.  In addition to the lemon story, last night she tried to jump up on a chair and sort of slipped/missed.  There was flailling and scrabbling and a PLUMF on her furry butt.  She scrambled to her feet and THUMPED at teh chair several times – how DARE it be so unaccomodating….

Pepper sounds like she is such a character!  I love your stories about her and how she is always free run and thinks the world should revolve around her whims and wishes.  (Of course it actually should!)

                          Goofy dog?? Goofy boyfriend! xD

Naw, not really, my son used to love lemon slices as a baby (I think he still does) even when they mde him pucker up so bad I thought his face would freeze that way.

SO funny about Pepper though! Another opinionated rabbit. (Like there’s any other kind…lol.)

I am surprised at the HRS because I looked up grapefruit and it’s not listed anywhere. I don’t eat them so never have them here, but it’s such a common food in many homes that I would think they would know. Not on the suggested fruit list, so maybe I’m misinterpreting. It’s not recommended, but not toxic either.

                              Stick with Nanners?
