Are bunnies okay to have grapes? The reason why I ask this is because I absolutely LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE grapes. Due to this obsession, I tend to over stock in my house hold. I want to make sure the grapes don’t go bad or wasted soooooo…….If my bunny can eat grapes then I can give em’ to him and he’ll make sure that my house always has grapes that never get wasted(Of course I willl make sure that the grapes are fresh). So please tell me whether or not bunnies can have grapes.

Grapes are safe for bunnies. Anything else your unsure about, just check list of safe fruits/veggies under bunny info tab. Grapes are pretty high in sugar so maybe just give as an occasional thing. You can freeze grapes. Not sure if buns would eat frozen but slice them in half and give it a go.

Grapes are good but like jerseygirl said high in sugar. I give one every two or three days to my bun it is like any other fruit you give in small amounts also make sure they are seed free

ditto   Grapes are high in sugar and so you do need to be careful not to feed too much.  According to the House Rabbit Society, grapes “should be fed sparingly”.   So I doubt it will help much with your getting rid of all your grapes before they spoil.  But look on the bright side – with your grape obsession, there’s more for you!

Kay loves grapes! I will give her 1 or 2 occasionally.

Winston could care less about grapes. Raisins are much more to his liking. I keep trying to explain to him that they are the same fruit – he is not buying it!

mmm!!!!!!! i love grapes too! i’m the only one who eats them tho, so i always end up having to throw some out at the end of the week also. when i do get them, i will give each bun one grape every other day. much more than that is not good for them.

i think all fruits are high in sugar, that’s why they’re naturally very sweet tasting… so all fruits that are safe need to be limited to 3x a week, and very small amounts.

Grapes totally OK (But you know, limit them )

NOT OK for dogs!! Raisins and grapes have been linked to liver failure in dogs, and slightly in cats; Quantities not determined yet so ‘none’ is ok.

Just a paranoid suggestion but you might consider using seedless. It’s the seeds in grapes (they think) that are so concerned about with dogs. And since seeds in any form aren’t really safe for bunny’s, you might consider using the seedless variety.
