  This is very nice stuff! It’s very green (there are a few brown strands but just a few). Boy, it smells good too – my UPS many says he loves when he gets to deliver hay to me because his truck always smells so good.
  
  The strands are finer too – more like a 2nd cut but somewhat softer. I ordered two 45 pounds boxes and I’m tempted to order a 3rd as well since it goes so fast and you can only order it at certain times.
  
  I gave most of the buns a handful this morning so I’ll see how much is gone when I get home – they were munching on it with their greens too so I think it’s a winner again.

  I love the hay smell. We keep our big box in the walk-in closet and I love pulling clothes out of there and wearing “Eau de Grass Hay” all day long! (Course my friends and classmates must think I live on a farm…)

  Mine love it. All three. Now THAT’S an accomplishment.
  
  I really want to order some more, but I am not sure how much I can safely keep here without it going bad or cultivating bugs or something. In case I don’t get to purchase more of the 3rd cut, what’s the 2nd like, Sarita? Is it very much more coarse than this type we have now?

  I generally stock up on hay when it’s good and I have no problems – I just keep mine inside in the box in came in and I’ve never had a problem.
  
  As for 2nd cutting – I prefer the American Pet Diner 2nd cutting – you can order a small bag on BB as well to give it a try. The last time I got the KMS 2nd cutting which was I admit about a year ago, it was pretty stemmy and I decided the the APD was better. So I highly recommend you give this a try as well since it’s more readily available than the 3rd cut which is pretty limited so I stock up on that when I can. I just ordered another 45 pound box of this too.
