GOOFY QOTW – Would you travel into the past or future?

If someone offered you one chance to time travel and visit the past or future, which would you choose?How far back or forward  would you go and why?

I might want to glimpse into the future, but not stay there (or the past for that matter)! But the future could be terrible, and when I came back I would not want to live with the fact that I would be helpless to change the future for the most part. I don’t think I’d want to do either, actually. Call me a pessimist.

digmexnow, I first thought about the future, but then you made a good point and freaked me out. So I changed my travel plans and I think I would want to go back in time to meet my great great great great etc etc etc parents – the ones that actually took te chance to come to the “new” land, we now call the U.S. I would like to find out why they came and see what kind of people they were. That could also be insiring or scary! But I’d still like to find out.

Hrmmm, tricky. I’d probably go into the future and hope for the best, but not too too far – maybe 10 yeas or so down the road – just to see where I’m at. All the same, digxmexnow has a good point, and I’d probably just end up freaking out when I came back if tings weren’t looking good. Ah well, that’s a risk I’m willing to take.

I’d go back to April 2003. My boyfriend was in AZ finishing college and was talked into taking part in a field test for an anti depressant. Unfortunately he was one of the 8% of the population who has a horrible reaction to that particular drug, became totally delusional, psychotic and compulsively suicidal. After 10 months of intensive treatments, hospitalizations and therapy that only seemed to make things worse, he killed himself, afraid that one day he would cause harm to me or my son without even knowing it.

these quiet , dignified creatures remind me a lot of Jim and maybe that’s why they bring out such a protective streak in me. I would definitely choose to go back and make sure he didn’t take part in that test.

I am so sorry to hear about your boyfriend That must have been very hard for you and I am sorry you had to go through that.

My bunny Henri has such a personality that sometimes I am convinced that he is a person reincarnated – maybe really lucky people get to come back as bunnies and sleep all day and binky all night…

I think I personally would go to the future (not too far) grab a few lotto numbers and then win a lottery or two to open up my own deluxe bunny sanctuary!
