So I’m not sure whether this behavior means Oreo is bonding with me or just doing bad things when I’m not looking. The problem is that whenever I let my bunny loose he is all happy and doing binkies everywhere but I leave for one second and come back to find the place covered with poo and pee and see him in his cage doing nothing then when he sees me he jumps out and starts licking my pants. I don’t know if this is normal

Is Oreo fixed? Cause if he isn’t, it sounds like it might be getting to that time…
(Ie. That sounds fairly normal for an unaltered bunny. After they’re fixed, their need to mark territory pretty much goes away and their litter habits improve by leaps and bounds.)

I would agree with that. he may need to be fixed. Maybe he’s marking for you because they tend to use you as their “mate” if they don’t have another bun. His licking is probably just grooming you. You’re his. Is he rubbing his chin on you too?

I think you’re comparing two separate things here. A bunny can be happy and well-adjusted and that might have nothing to do with marking an area. It doesn’t sound like there is anything wrong with him, his excitement to see you may be him liking you, it may be hormones if he is unneutered.
