        Hellooo! Happy Summer!

Anyways, I’m going with my mom and my two older brothers (im a teen so of course i still live with my parents…) up to Northern California (i live in SoCal…) where my mom’s parents live… My dad is sadly staying behind cuz of work (he works at Dreamworks Animation and is also a painter), so he’s watching all the family pets (we have 2 dogs [one of them is diabetic], 2 frogs, 5 goldfish, a canary, a betta fish, and of course my lil bun, Bunt….) so as you can see, WE HAVE A LOT! I’m worried about Bunt though, only cuz we’ll be gone for 2 WHOLE weeks… and my dad leaves for work around 8am and comes back around 7ishpm… and when he comes home he paints… so my bun won’t be getting a lot of attention, like she’s used to… i told my dad that before work each day he should play with her and then just close my bedroom door and let her run around in her pen (with her cage open of course…)…. and then my aunt who lives nearby volounteered to stop by not everyday, but every now and then to check on my bunny and put her back in her cage…. I’m just worried that my bunny is going to be REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY lonely, cuz like I’m her playmate and everything… so i was wondering if you guys knew any tips on how to make my bunny less lonely/comfort her….

i’m concerned about her being free in your room for two weeks. bored bunnies are DESTRUCTIVE bunnies. even with the best bunny-proofing, they can still find ways to get to off-limit things, esp. without supervision. i think it would be better for her to be moved somewhere closer to your dad so she can still have some regular interaction while being safely confined. do you have an xpen you can attach to her cage, or can you make a NIC grid fence and attach that? if your aunt has bunny experienc and/or can give her more attention than your dad, would she be willing to house and care for Bunt for the two weeks you’re gone?
