Hi I have two rabbits that are seperate until Casper recovers from being neutered and they can be bonded.
I have had some problems with Daisy. Daisy is spayed but was kept by previous owner in a small cage. Daisy has damaged curtains, a leather sofa, cushions, and a wire (through a wire protector!). She’s been checked by a vet and has no health issues.
I have decided that I need to cage Daisy but I simply do not have space in my living room.
I have been thinking of building a C&C cage for her. I think either 6 or 7x2x2 with a 2×4 loft. Will this be big enough for a few weeks if I let her out to exercise for several hours a day? (Away from Casper).
Oh yes and it needs to be in the same room as Casper because it won’t fit anywhere else, will this be safe? Will she resent Casper if she’s in a cage and he’s not?
Casper is caged at night, so hopefully when I bond them they will both be able to stay together in the cage, so it must be large enough for both.
Will it be hard on Daisy as she’s used to so much freedom? I don’t want her to get depressed.
