        Just looking for your experiences!

Thumper is an adult unneutered boy bun.  He is PERFECT!  He’s a sweetheart, he likes to cuddle, he uses his litterbox, he is not territorial/aggressive/hormonal in any way, and he can be around the other 2 fixed bunnies without incident, while they fling themselves at their pen-walls like loons!

We don’t know exactly how old he is, but I would guess around a year-ish?  Maybe more?

Anyway, my BF and I were wondering how much the neuter will affect his personality?  We want him to stay just the way he is, but we’re afraid he’ll turn into a grouchy old cranky-pants like Robbie if we get him neutered!

Anyone who has had their adult boy-buns neutered, what have you found?  (Robbie was an adult when I got him, but I got him fixed almost immediately after getting him from a park, so his personality was very up-in-the-air…I couldn’t tell how he REALLY was before, and can’t tell whether changes are due to the neuter, or a thousand other factors.  So I hope you all can give some insight!)

        Thanks!

Good luck. I have no insight cause Charlie was only a baby when he got his snip but I’m sure he wont flip out like Robbie.

Every bun is different. I know Mimzy seemed to be a little less “loaf”-ish and was more interested in play before his neuter and now he’s a really mellow, but very private bun. He prefers to be left alone for the most part. But he will become cuddly if I snuggle with him long enough. He’s just not like lovable and inquisitive Fiver, whom I adopted already neutered and who is much more attuned to people than Mimzy is.

Otherwise, I wouldn’t say Mimzy is too different from pre to post neuter. However I have never heard him honk again, which I do miss.

I’d say if their aren’t any bad behaviors before, then he likely won’t change much at all
