Getting Harley Sexed YAY

SO I dropped my dog off to be fixed today at our new vet who I just adore…..and I was talking to her about Harley and how he’she was going to be 9 or 10 weeks this sunday and I wanted to have Harley fixed as soon as possible (my vet does payment plans) but I wasnt sure what Harley was she said jsut bring him in on riday when Ipick hunter up and she will sex Harley right there for me YAY Oreo I am not to concerned about he/she will be 5 years but guessed to be almost 7 so I am in no rush the mellows bunny I have ever seen Oreo is besides a couple incidents

Ha-ha…reminds me of an expectant mother ultrasound, except the bunny is already born. 

Most vets offices would probably be willing to determine sex of bunny for no charge. Just call first to make sure there is someone there that can do it and has the time available to do it.  I worked with hamsters (dwarf and the larger Syrian hamsters) a lot- so it is easy for me to sex them, adult and baby.  If someone made arrangements while I was at work- I would sex them at no charge.  That way people could separate them appropriately.

Since there was no exam and the animals were not aggressive- it is a courtesy.  We have even looked at guinea pigs and rabbits to confirm for people (when mounting was seen in 2 males/ obviously was dominance and not mating).

I did work experience at this rabbit vet clinic once and their rule was if a vet nurse sexed an animal (<- haha that sounds so funny) then it'd be free of charge but if the vet quickly checked it would be charged $47 as a consult….thought it was abit of a rip off but hey..got to make money I guess.

Good thing Harley is a unisex name.

I know at a couple vets here it would cost me to have the bun sexed as they said they needed to do a check up. But I am very comfortable with this vet, they also do pet sitting as they have a vet tech living in the basement of the vets office YAY so Harley will come to my dads tonight and come with me for an appt. tommorow. I am really excited. Also as a family discount as my dad takes his animals there they waved the vet fee of 65 bucks which is awesome so they said it might be a regular thing if I have my work done there all the time
