Genius bunny got stuck in bathtub

Rain decided it would be a good idea to try and discover what might be inside of my bathtub. He must have hopped in and then after a few minutes started to panic because she realized she couldn’t get out. I heard frantic scratching noises and then sure enough when I walked into the bathroom there she was. I saw her slipping and sliding trying to climb out. I yelled for my dad and this is the actual shocking part. Rain let my dad pick her up and take her out of the tub. She never lets anyon even pick up her front two feet for a couple seconds, let alone lift her entire body off the ground!! I’m worried that this might have been stressful for her and it might make her sick! I’ve been monitoring her poops and food intake. She’s been eating a bunch of hay which is good. I haven’t seen any new poops yet though.

Wick’s typically agreeing to be picked up, but especially so if he is aware it’s his only option. Rain probably was quite accepting of any option to get him out. For the future, I’d advise keeping the bathroom closed because it’s dirty and has chemical cleaners, in addition to the treacherous bath tub. Imagine a toilet jump!

And yes, just monitor for now. It seems the ordeal ended soon, so it should be okay. I was trapped Wick in my closet until I heard his scratches. What a day.

Oh my, the little rascal  All my Buttercup ever did in the bathroom was go behind the toilet (lid was always down), dig at the bath mat and dent the bath panel

I understand that you’re worried, and it’s always wise to check on them after a stressful incident. Most likely she’ll be totally fine, but it doesn’t hurt to monitor.

I know this is TOTALLY off topic… but did you find out Rain was actually a girl and not a boy? I know you weren’t sure in one of your last posts.

Sarah, that bunny sounds like an angel compared to Rain. What a sweetheart!!
Wick, yes, from now on I’ve learned my lesson. I’m keeping any bathroom doors closed at all time. Oh goodness a toilet jump, I can’t imagine.
Luckily she’s doing just fine. Because a hour after the fiasco she went into my dads office and managed to jump onto the couch. My fluffy little jumping bean.
LPT yes, although I felt bad when I saw how scared she was, I was bent over laughing afterwards. And then Rainy scratched my foot and ran off binkying.
Ellie, I very much agree with you. I checked for any mushy poos or no poos and good to know that they were all good.
Hay consumption and hay is all goood.
Asriel and Bombur, I’m going to be taking her to a vet soon, but I’m like 90 percent sure that Rain is a girl. I managed to look under the tail for a minute and it looks like it. Also the dewlap. And personally, it’s easier to change from calling something a girl to a boy. Just in my mind that’s how it is.
These little guys are just always getting themselves into situations. Especially since my little buns in the teenager stage. She ( again, 90 percent sure) acts just like me. Mood swings and the attitude and all. Glad to know that everything thing turned out okay! Thank you everyone for the reassurance and the help!!!

It’s always very funny and a good story afterwards, but the moment itself can be quite stressful for both. Luckily we can all laugh about their crazy antics later

This reminds me of a journey with Breintje. When we travel by train he wants out of his cage and he hops onto my arm & chest so he has a vantage point.

We were on a train with separate seats next to eachother instead of benches, and I noticed he had something in his eye. I tried to get it out with a tissue, but he suddenly lept into the air… landed head-first in a gap between two seats and got stuck there because he was too chubby.
The only thing sticking out was his fat wooly butt, his fuzzy tail and two wildly flailing big thumpers. Everyone laughed at the sight because it looked so comical
Breintje wasn’t too impressed, and I think he was relieved that I put the tissue away. He’s a real man in everything. NO GROOMING! GRRRR!
