Didn’t I say I was going to stop looking at Craigslist?

I’m actually good with this person – unlike many other Craigslist ads. Seems to be a free range bun and that she likes him just her health is an issue.

I have a feeling that she will not just give him over to the first people that come but will make sure he’s going to a good home.

I saw another ad earlier today for a white bunny being rehomed, very obviously well cared for. The girl wants to rehome him because “she has a lot going on in her life right now”. And if whoever adopts him can’t keep him she wants him back.

Whenever I hear the “alot going on” excuse I can’t help but think that “a lot” won’t be going on forever…and a bunny…or any animal for that matter, would do so much better with a little less attention for a temporary amount of time than going through the stress of rehoming.

                T&RMom,
I hate that excuse, but my reaction is sometimes the opposite. A person like that will always have “a lot going on” since they may make their own dramas. It can also be a euphemism for “I just don’t handle responsibility well.” I’d rather see a good home for the animal that was saved. These are not easily impulse pets like pet stores sell. You have to go out of your way to arrange to get them.

Yes I said the same thing about not looking at the pet section but I did anyway ahhhhhhhh! Look at this fuzzy little cutie! Hope she finds a wonderful home. If I had a larger apt I would be taking the 4 hour ride and picking her up. Someday I will have a bunny ranch!   Um not the kind that is NV LOL!!

Whenever people are like, “I don’t have time” for one rabbit, I am always like – well, I’ve got a dog, 2 guinea pigs, 10 rabbits and 2 horses, a job and go to school, AND I still find time.

i dont know how people can give an animal away either, i would quit university before i would give them up if i ran out of time or money or whatever. i just dont know how people can do it, i think its fare enough if people have allergies that come on because my nan had asthma which wasnt bad when she had a dog, then it got much worse and she developed lung disease, she had a tough time being around the dog because of all the loose hair (she didnt give her up, she would never put her health before her pets just like me) and so i can kind of see how some people would be like this but i still dont think i would.
