What’s the funniest thing your bunnies do?

For Kokanee, it has to be ripping open garbage bags in search of food…. I think for Kahlua, it’s her majorly dramatic flops. As if she’s been working all day in the heat at a back breaking job…legs strait in the air with a big sigh!! For Rupert, well he gets so excited at the cage door to be let out and/or get treats, then when the door opens he remembers he’s shy and darts to the back of the cage to hide his face. He remembers he’s not shy when you hold a treat to tempt him out of hiding LOL

What do your bunnies do that cracks you up?

I expect any day now, Mimzy will be taking a tin cup and running it noisily over his cage bars, back and forth, trying to rustle up some treats for the poor imprisoned bunny! ^_^
For now he just gets his face so smooshed in between the bars that his lips come squeezing out like a tube of toothpaste and flap at me begging for a Craisin. Pip does it too, it’s the funniest, but also the most pitiful thing.

I always laugh when Shadow, grabs and shakes the baby gate. He pushes, bangs and rattles it in a very obnoxious manner to be let out of the room. When you do open the gate, he runs to it, grabs it and holds on while you move it. So you are dragging him with the gate. I have to remind him he is already out and he can let go.

Yuuki: When he runs around his cage and jumps onto his hay manger, then sits there for a second until he falls off…
Jazz: When he reaches up, grabs the top of his cage and does “push ups”
Smile: Smile’s flops always make me smile!
Rye: When he raises on his back legs and his ears flop back and he just stands there for a minute!
Kibou: Oh, Kibou does many things that make me laugh because she’s just comical. When she drinks, when she sleeps, when she hops, when she looks at me…lol…pretty much everything!
Sawyer: Sawyer lies down like a doggie sometimes…makes me laugh.

Kokanee- Olivia does the exact same thing as you described Rupert doing!! She tries to “help” open the cage door, she’s so anxious to come out and then when I open the door it takes her like 10 minutes to actually come out.

The funniest thing Bindi does is the extreme spontaneous binky. He will be sitting perfectly still for a long time, looking totally hypnotized and then “BAM” crazy, way up in the air binky. He makes me laugh when he does this.

Stormy makes me laugh because he is just such a little jerk. He knows he can get away with whatever he wants and he totally works that. He reminds me of a really good looking guy who can get away with being a jerk, lol…

Edson goes into his cardboard box and scoots it around the room!  It only has a door and no windows so he can’t see where he’s going.  It’s the funniest thing because then he’ll get out if it gets stuck and move it and get right back in and start pushing it around again.  Weird but funny!

                    knowltons, that’s hilarious!

the funniest thing baby does is push hay in her hay box.  it’s a long rectangular shape with her pellet trough hanging at one end & i usually toss handfulls of hay all over it.  she’ll hop in & shove all the hay to the opposite end of the box.  once *all* the hay, including the little bits, is at the end of the box she’ll start eating.  i thought she was getting to be a fussy-tidy old gal but she prooved this theory wrong by developing a habit of flinging her litter 10 feet from her litter pan.  time for a deeper litter pan in her bedroom.

pinky’s funniest move is swiping everything off of the end table in her room in one not-so-graceful swipe as she glides across it.  well i assume this is what she does.  i’ve only heard the kerfluffely thumps & looked in her room to find her sitting in the middle of the floor wide-eyed & looking a bit stunned amidst all of the things that were previously on the end table.

Winston’s newest project is to paw at and then smooth out his fuzzy mat.

He digs at it all the time – yet it is not in the least bit scratched or riped up – maybe he is not using his claws? Then he pushes his paws forward to smooth it out. He does all of this with his back to you. Then he spins around really fast to see if anyone saw him! “I wasn’t doing nothing.”

The other night while Winston was doing this – J went over to see what was going on. He reached out his hand to Winston – Winston smoothed (pushed forward with both paws)  J’s hand away. J reached back – Winston pushed J’s hand away with his head – “Can’t you see I’m busy?”

Kay uses my hand as a toy. She gently takes my finger in her teeth and tosses it just like her ball. She will sort of follow my hand around and does this over & over.

Brownie hops up onto the back of the couch to gaze out the window…and he will nose the cat-butt out of the way if it’s his turn! Cracks me up…I think he thinks HE’S a cat sometimes….and oh, he loves thelittle mouse toys we have (for the cats!) Picks them up by the tails and tosses them into the air!

when i wake up in the morning, it doesn’t matter where Meadow is or what she’s doing, she will bolt over to the “doorway” of her enclosure and wait to be a let out. if i make coffee first (or god forbid get breakfast for Michael) she FLIPS OUT… chewing her carpet (b/c she knows it drives me NUTS) and rattling the grids with her teeth. she doesn’t do this when Michael or Mike gets up… only when she sees me.

cotton has trained me that when I eat supper I have to bring something rabbit healthy for him too. HE begs n begs. He goes in his cage and puts his nose and mouth thru. he runs around my stool he jumps on the couch putting his little paws on my shoulder with his head near my mouth just a begging. then  when I give him his ohhh sooo begged for food he takes it and runs off with it to eat it in his litterbox or cardboard box. It is so funny. seeing him carrying food in his mouth off to somewhere to eat.

also when I lie on the couch and he feels like jumping from the floor to me to dig nibble smooth my shirt he like floats. it is so neat. I wish I could video “The Cotton Bun Float” like it is so effortless to go from tne floor to the couch. he remains in sitting position as this float is taking place is hilarious quite the acrobat. makes it look so easy sitting the whole time while he floats in the air he has that down good too.

I remember Mimzy doing that ‘shake the bars with his mouth’ thing now! He hasn’t done that in awhile. But it was funny! It’s as if he was saying, “Lemme out! I been framed! Get me my lawyer!” ^_^
One time while Pip was still living in my daughter’s room, she got into the carboard box she had for a sleepy box and flipped it over on herself. When my daughter woke up and couldn’t see her rabbit in the cage, she panicked…until she saw the box moving along the floor of the cage in spastic jerks…scoot…scoot…scoot…. Then she realized Pip was stuck underneath it!
Ah me…what would we have to laugh about in life if not for these little hoppy-floppy comedians? ^_^
