i was leaving for work this morning and couldnt find wesley – checked all his normal spots several times, totally perplexed. then looking under the bed in one of the other rooms i remembered the cloth on the boxspring was ripped open in a spot… and naturally found the little guy snoozing inside what he must have thought was a really great hammock. he was not happy to be removed….
any other stories of trail-blazing buns? ![]()
I found roscoe in a drawer recently.. No idea how he got in there and behind the box that was in there! I just actually realized that they’re were treats in there and he ate them all -.-
sitting on top of a bookshelf trying to blend with the picture frames
Haha Powder did that once, I woke up to the bed shaking and found a 6lb ball of white fur in my box spring. o.O
Besides the box spring, his best hiding spot was I have suit cases in the closet in storage. They are, well, I thought up against the wall but Powder found a tiny opening and squeezed behind it, took me ages to find him and he wasn’t coming when called. Stickers doesn’t hide cause as soon as she hears me coming she bolts lol she’s horrible at hide and seek. ![]()
Oooh and … inside the bag of oxbow hay for a mini-bale.
On my face when I woke up. ![]()
Haha.
Huckleberry is lazy and doesnt find many creative places to hide.
It did surprise me the first time I found her sitting on the back of the couch though! I actually walked by her several times, looking for her, before I realized that she had found a new perch. This was way back when she was only a couple months old.
Some how Bun got on top of our 4 ft. tall dresser in our closet and was hiding behind the clothes hanging above it. Gave me a heartattack.
He’s also found a whole in our box spring and scared us until we found where he was.
In between the couch and my family’s Chinese storage chest… lol. She squeezed herself between!
Well, I dont know if this counts as “free roaming” but my sisters backyard is very bunny safe and so me and my sister were carving pumpkins and when we finished I went to check up on how lil Tipsy was doing… found her chillin with the chickens in their dusting area. She was laying down and rolling in the dirt while the chickens were in the dirt flapping their wings to get dirt on them while getting dirt on her… my white bunny wasnt white.
Bindi’s not free roam but he did escape the other day. Apparently, Momma forgot to latch the bottom of his door before she went out and he shoved it open enough to squeeze through. I got home and walked into the rabbit room and say “Uh oh”. A loose Bindi Loo could get into all kinds of naughty trouble. I searched a good 10 minutes and then started getting scared because usually if he’s loose he’s just hopping around. I started worrying that something happened to him. My husband was outside so I was going to get him to help in the search when I spied a puff of white peeking out from underneath the table. I pulled out the chair and there was Bindi on the padded kitchen chair, totally loafed and relaxed and staring at me like “What’s the big idea?”. It was really funny because even when he’s allowed in the kitchen he never hops on the chairs. I wish I would have taken a pic.

I found TimTim in a draw once too. I could hear scratching and thought he was under the drawer as they’re slightly raised off the floor. But I couldn’t see him. When I opened the bottom drawer there he was sitting on all my clothes. He’d gone under the cabinet then into the draw from the back. Maybe that’s how Roscoe managed it?
Jersey was found sitting in the fridge once. I was away and only found out about it weeks after it happened. They think she hopped in while they were getting lunch so possibly the fridge was being opened several times. I’m hoping she hadn’t been in there long. :/ It never gave her a complex or anything.
Lolli doesn’t really lay in weird spots. There have been occasions when I thought she was under the bed and started talking to her only to look around and find her staring at my butt as i was kneeling down to talk to her under the bed. LOL
On the other hand, Eddie fell into a box. I kept hearing a scratching sound but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Until I saw the box shaking. He had jumped up on it and fell through the flaps. He also got shut in the closet cause I didn’t know he had hopped in there. I got what I needed and closed the door – to keep him out of course. A few hours later I realized I hadn’t seen him for a bit. I assumed he was under the bed or something. Went looking, couldn’t find him, opened the door and there was a grumpy bunny! LOL
I found Wilbur in a box of hay, with the box perfectly folded correctly. One time I found her in my pillowcase! Totoro is too big to fit anywhere small, but I’ve found him hiding in the curtains before.
Panda squeezed behind a china cabinet once xD!
Nala will go and chew down our dwarf orange trees!
behind the T.V. when I didn’t put my buns back into the hallway while i was gone.. there was pee&poop all over D:

Oh, one time snuggled up with my doggy <3
My boys aren’t free roaming (we live in an apartment and they would destroy the place in an hour flat, guaranteed– rabbit toys are never as entertaining as furniture and the wall runners), but once when Humphrey was visiting my mom’s house he escaped into the basement and we found him behind the washer and dryer, chomping away on RAT POISON that the previous house owners had left. D : In my own home (rat-poison free!), one morning I came in to feed him and he was on top of the four foot tall STILL CLOSED, BUNGEE’D AND CLIPPED SHUT cage. I still have not been able to figure that once out!
Hannah got up on the dining room table a couple times (within a few minute period).
I can’t remember a funny place like all of yours (Jersey wants a crisper bed for xmas), but I have this experience a lot:
I can’t find my bunny anywhere. Calling, searching, looking. Then suddenly there is a bunny sitting in the middle of the empty room like s/he’s been there all the time and what is the matter with me? It’s like they beam down from wherever they were.![]()
Austa Nanie slipped under the entertainment center only thing is that we had to lift the whole thing up in order to get him out.
one afternoon i couldn’t find chomp anywhere.. he was in my dads work boot.. haha, he’s a dwarf and dads gotta huge foot!
I might be the only one to say this. I found my bunny in the box spring of a mattress! At the time it was not funny i was freaking out!

Huckels does this ALL THE TIME!!!! But she always ends up right under my feet. I step backwards and try to not step on her and fall over and then get a look like “You big dope! Why are trying to kill me!!! Didn’t you see me? I was here all the time!”
I once found Navi (after she escaped from her pen) IN THE WALL. Stinker chewed a hole in it and slipped in.
I found Sunny in a trash can. It’s like a medium sized one we only put paper in it. That’s probably why, it was overflowing with tasty paper! And he couldn’t, or was too afraid, to get out on his own lol
I found Cotton in the same spot. the box springs. I kept lifting up the sag and smashing him trying to find him under the bed. When he moved the 2nd time I raised up the sag with him in it I knew I had found him.
Was so funny
