i am really curious if there is a good way to get a rough idea how big your bun is going to be full grown…heifer and moose are just ofer 8 weeks and they are in my opinion a good size. they are suppossed to be regualr sized rabbits and i did see the parents but their parents were not that large. im not sure how much these 2 weigh…my guess would be 1.5-2lbs each?

At 8 weeks, my rabbit was almost 2lbs. Full grown, he is 4.3lbs. However, most baby rabbits start out at a similar size, so it’s very difficult to tell how big they will get. If you saw the parents, would assume they will be about the same size.

When you take them for a checkup at the vet, they can be weighed. If your vet (or you) know the breed, that helps to determine their eventual size. But it’s one of those things where they can just keep growing until eventually they stop in about a year. I keep watching Sammy, and she just seems to get bigger and longer.

From the pics I saw, your rabbits look like they’ll be average size buns, maybe 5 pounds or a little less. It’s one of those wait and see things, especially since we don’t know the breed.
