we got some plums, nectarines and cherries yesterday at a farmer’s market.  (very yummy!)  i don’t see any of these listed on the veggie list.  are they okay to feed (obviously just a teeny, tiny amount!)  i know there was something about pitted fruit, but i don’t remember what that was and if it was related to the fruit, or the wood from the tree…

Peaches and plums are on the House Rabbit Society list for fruits so I don’t see why nectarines wouldn’t be okay. I think without the pit the cherry is fine too. I guess they don’t list that (cherries) because it’s not something most people would feed their rabbits because it tends to get pricey or something (who knows) or maybe it’s because of the pit inside.

          Sounds yummy :~)

i was going to just cut a tiny sliver off of the cherry if it was okay. i think a whole cherry would be too much anyways…

Pit’s contain arsenic and so do the wood of pitted fruit trees. The fruit is perfectly fine

Coco also adores slivers of peach. She looses her bunny mind for ripe peach – although she seemed excited for the slice of “Plumcot” yesterday…

My buns get some of all those fruits and they are still alive and doing fine. So no worries. Just the pits seeds and stuff watch those.

What age is okay to introduce fruits?  Is it just like veggies– some make them ill?
