Not sure if this is the right section to post this but the past week or so my rabbit seems to be sneezing quite a bit. She doesn’t have a runny nose which is the only information I can find online. Should I just take her into the vet? Anyone have experience with this?

I recommend just taking her to the vet to be safe. In the time being, consider if you’ve made any environmental changes that may have set off allergies, like a different brand of food, bedding, litter, opening a window you usually don’t….

Sneezing is most commonly caused by a URI, or upper respiratory infection. Common symptoms to include a runny nose, but symptoms may not be apparent right away. Wick had a URI and did not have nasal discharge until a while when he started sneezing.

If it is a URI, the sooner you begin treatment, the better. A typical course is 10-days, but if you find symptoms are still there, you can extend the course or change medications as well. Continue to be observant and discuss everything you notice with your vet.

You know, now that I think of it – I usually use SoPhresh litter for her litter box but while I was out shopping and needed more litter, I just settled for the paper bedding they had in the pet section at walmart for her litter instead just for now until I get the SoPhresh kind. Do you think that could be causing her sneezing? Maybe it’s a bit dustier. I’m not sure. She doesn’t seem sick by any means but she does need a vet appt soon I’ve just been so busy

It could be. I’d suggest removing it if possible, and see if the sneezing continues. You may need to buy litter to do this, but you’ll need to buy new litter eventually anyways, so this would just be bumping up the timeline, haha.
