When I finally get my buns bonded I am interested in making my living room into a completely free roam area for my buns. Their cages are currently in my living room so they’re familiar with the room as this it where they get let out to play, it’s very big and it’s here we tend to spend most of our time when we are at home. Even though I want them to be free roam should I keep a cage set up in the room aswell with their litter tray etc in there? Or should I have all this out and about in the living room? My only concern is my living room is carpeted and both buns do chew it every now and again and the small set of stairs leading down to the kitchen. Chaos loves running up and down them (there’s a floor length mirror at the bottom so he keeps trying to play with the ‘other’ bun, he also sneaks into the kitchen as it’s where the hay is kept) and I’ve never seen them get injured going up and down them so I don’t think it’s going to be an issue?
