  You know, if he wasn’t wearing a trench coat it would be a lot less creepy as well – I don’t know what it is about trench coats but when ever I see them I think ‘perv’. Anyway, it never gets cold enough in Sydney for a trench coat.

  Actually – it is Sydney. Check the video on the related list titled Ten News Australia. I thought I’d seen it before! It’s interesting how insulated we become. Guess we’re like bunnies with our prey instincts on high alert. I’m sure the more people saw others taking up the offer, the more ‘acceptable’ it became. It’s absolutely normal in Europe to greet each other with a kiss on each cheek even if you’re only just meeting a person. We seem automatically suspicious of good will from a stranger maybe because we don’t automatically recognise good will. – Sad!
  Anyway, it makes us question our automatic behaviours which is interesting.
  
  EDIT: Think i used the Royal “We” above. Just analysing my thoughts on it all! I think my reaction would have been surprise and some admiration but I wouldn’t have gotten over my inhibitions to hug him straight off.
