Hmmm…. Which one? Left to right: Mountain grass, Botanical, Alfalfa, Tim 1st cut, Orchard, and Grass clippings.

        After careful consideration….

He jumps away to his mat and nibbles on some… grass?

COME ON silly bunny! EAT YER HAYZ!!!

*Facepalm* At least he’s eating something…

          Grass? From outside?
I love your layout. May I suggest after a while and he’s hungry again, that you remove the grass from the buffet and then see which ones he goes for? It would at least force him to choose a hay.
Don’t let our bunnies see your spread. They’ll want it too.

Actually, during the night I left it out, and the grass was gone, but so was the Mountain Grass! DING DING DING!!! Lol. The mountain grass has 2nd cut timothy along with some dried grasses. Oh he also ate some of the orchard. I don’t think he touched the other ones. I will do it again tonight without the grass and see what he thinks. Yes it was grass from my yard. Unfertilized for at least 7 yrs, as I know that the land lord and the last tenants didn’t do it for sure as they were a hoarding the homeless and let the yard go wild, and my landlord the same. A shame really because the 85 yr old lady that lived in the house her whole life kept the yard beautiful and the peach tree was planted 44 yrs. ago… and then the stupid land lord cut half it down a month ago *sniffle*

Then it sounds like he will be happy with the good kind of grasses. Orchard is my favorite, but Mountain is good too. Clearly he wants the softer, sweeter stuff. My bunny is funny – she likes the old, dry, mature oat.

Sorry about your landlord’s disrespect for the former tenant. Maybe you can bring it back to it’s beautiful state and she will be your friend in spirit.

I plan on redoing the yard in Springtime and also bunnyproofing it for Franz so he can enjoy some pretty days out with me reading in the grass ^.^

Might spend some time this winter building a run for him, or a covered pen that sits on the fresh ground. You don’t want him outside where he can’t be under safe cover from predators.

Of course. I wouldn’t leave him alone though or even 15ft. away.

Chacha says: Orchard is yumlicious too Hehehe!

Isn’t Mountain hay the same as Orchard? O_o

No, I’ll get the hay ingredients in a bit but it’s timothy 2nd and some other grasses I haven’t heard of “sun dried”

You have heard of the donkey who starved in front of two hay piles, have you Franz is that donkey I think. LOL
Mine prefer fresh timothy grass over all hays as well. But unfortunately the season here is so short for fresh grass.

That’s hilarious that you made him a hay buffet! LOL He’s clearly a really lucky bunny with a very caring parent. Hopefully he keeps up his appetite for the mountain grass.

It seems you have more than enough hay to work with, but I just wanted to throw in my personal hay recommendation. My rabbit loves the binkbunny hay mini bale with timothy, orchard and blue grass mixed. He eats it much faster than his previous hay. I guess every bunny is different but if you’re stumped again or decide you want to keep trying different types, I thought I’d offer this suggestion
