I was told Frankie hid out all day and wouldn’t eat his breakfast or dinner greens. I came home and got him to (hesitantly) eat some treats (apple, raisin, carrot), but he won’t accept greens or pellets. I can hear his poor little tummy making all kinds of noise. Hopefully it will pass tonight. I will be keeping an eye on him. I think he may have eaten part of an orchid plant that was moved for Halloween decorations.

I did get him to eat a little bit of pellets and greens. I guess enticing him with the treats was helpful. I just finished building him a new home so he can be free range in my bedroom, so I’ll be able to monitor him all night!

Good if he’s eating some of regular food now! Could be gas…has he had any GI bouts before? He’d display some other symptoms if he ate something toxic wouldn’t he? Hope things improve! (((Rachel & Frankie))).

He’s come around. He ate his breakfast and now he’s just really exhausted. He went into his original cage and super-flopped in is carrier. Extra adorable.

Thanks for all the kind wishes! It was horrible hearing his tiny digestive system making such big noises!

Ohhh, poor Frankie and Rachel!  I’m so glad he’s feeling better, poor guy!  That must have been really scary for you…

                                    Is he all better now?

SO glad to hear he is doing better! *whew!* Please give him extra nose rubs from me and my bunny crew!

So I take it that normally a bunny’s GI tract is totally silent? I know for a fact that you can “see” it working, if you watch a bun’s stomach long enough. (I watched Fiver’s for hours one night while it went back and forth…like he’d swallowed an alien or something.) If you hear any noise coming from your bunny’s tummy, is that bad?
I’m thinking of the other day when Fiver’s stomach was gurgling pretty loud enough that I could notice it. Maybe he had gas that day?
