I’m going to meet this little chap tonight, don’t really know much about him yet. Hopefully he is a outgoing energetic kind of bunny who doesn’t chew! as that’s what Cinders needs to bring her out of her shell.
Aw! I hope frank and cinders get along!
Frank is gorgeous! Is Cinders going to meet him too? Best of luck, hope he’s just what you’re looking for
He is a cutie, i’m going to scope him out alone initially (its an hours drive away) and if I think he’s got the right personality to be good for her I will take her back for bonding whilst I clean the house
Frank is so handsome. I hope all goes well!
Frank is very cute! I hope that he and Cinders will be a great match!
aww what a cutie! Good luck hope it works out
That second pic slays me. I just want to reach in and smooch his booplesnoot.
Ohhhh Ax.
So happy for you….. come ON !!!! We’re all rooting for you. You deserve a happy bun boy…..
(I’d still take Cinders with me on first visit….)…
I’m rooting for Frank too! He looks like he could be so happy in a good home!
Super cute!!!!!! But of course, as a Mom to 2 white boys, of course I would say that .
Ax – report back in to BBHQ as SOON as you’re back……. (please)
I’ve just turned BB back on before I drop off to see if BBHQ has been updated….
“Nothing yet to report Sir….”
Darn and blast. Will have to wait till morning light….
Toodlepip, every bun!
Gahhh he’s so gorgeous! I hope it goes well….look at that lil mouf!
Guys, he is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous White coat and stunning blue eyes.
The lady said she was more than happy for me to have him and would be happy for me to take him home that night, so I did. Mum is bringing my spare cage for me today so he has somewhere to sleep although it appears he prefers my bed as he slept at the end of our bed all night.
So Frank is now part of the family, he is so relaxed, loves being stroked, not easily scared and is very inquisitive, just what Cinders needs, I cant wait to introduce them
The bit you’ve all been waiting for, the pics
I don’t understand why this picture is upside down, it’s not upside down on my pc but no matter how many times I upload it, it’s upside down. Even tried turning the pic upside down on my pc and re-uploading it – Still upside down
Squeeeeeeeeee! He’s stunning!
He seems very calm at your home already!
Awww what a beauty! Sending bonding vibes!
Awwh, I’m so happy Frank came home with you.
Yay! He looks so happy.
Ahh! Little guy is so cute!!! Hope all goes well with bonding.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!
I am feeling SO chuffed for you !!!!
(To those non brits. Being “chuffed” is feeling happy and warm inside about something).
He is stunning! (*cough*…post more pictures…*cough cough*)
Non-Brit here who uses the term regularly
Lol thanks for the explanation Vienna. This American is slowly learning – ie. “biscuits” are cookies (not dog treats).

Q8bunny, that makes sense – aren’t you in Canada? (not UK, but similar right? )
Q8. You don’t count…..
Not for nearly a decade now. Just an Anglophile with a British ex.
ha ha, thank you everyone, cant wait to go home and see him, will put some pics up tomorrow of the first bonding session! Eek, so excited!!
He is just beautiful! Congratulations. He looks like he glows in the dark in that last pic.
I hope Cinders loves him as much as we do!
Ahhhh it’s been several hours since I read about Frank being home and I’m still grinning for you Ax !!!
Although another pet is never a replacement for the one who has crossed over, it SURE is the best darn médicine !!!
All is going well so far, there was a lot of humping from Frank early on which seems to have died down a little now (thank God).
They have been sharing a litter tray and salad when together in the pop up Run, there has been a little grooming going on, Yey
Some more piccies :
First Bonding Session – The Bath
Bonding Session 2:
something I’ve never had before… he will put his head under her tummy and lift her up… Is this him telling her he wants grooming? She hasn’t groomed him very much yet.
Tired:
Aww! They look like yin and yang together
Loving that photo of Frank flopped out in the bath – either he’s just done a lot of humping or he’s chilled out saying “what’s all the fuss about” !!!
So happy it’s going well and Cinders not trying to get territorial….
They’re gorgeous together
Flop:
Frankie and Me:
They are so cute, he was pretty tired from all the humping if i’m honest ha ha! He is a frequent flopper though, always throwing himself on his side
I’m not surprised – 10 months in a cage with “no hope” – then falling upon a lovely bunwife AND freeroaming !!!
Talking about hitting the jackpot !!!!
They are so gorgeous together, it’s ridiculous.
His blue eyes are just gorgeous!!
I love the second picture of the first post, where it looks like she’s trying to inform you that there’s been a mistake and that there is a stranger in the tub with her!..and he’s flopped in the background like “why is there a fuss?”
Love the colour contrast
Gettin’ Spy vs. Spy vibes from these pics. They both look beautiful!
Your bunnies are just beautiful.
Frank is beautiful! And he and Cinders are so cute together. Hope everything works out great!
It appears Frank has claimed my bf’s side of the bed haha!
I’ve had to clear the bedside tables as he likes to sit on them and was nocking everything off! little bugger
“This is my bed now hooman”
Frank found his home, for sure! Such sweet pics. I love that he lets you cuddle him.
Now even I don’t have a bunny THAT big
I am glad to have a cuddly bun again, I really miss my cuddles with Gareth
That’s okay, bf can sleep on the floor! Too cute.
So, tonight is the night. Bunnycam is set up to see the whole room, bunny corner is back together and I am ready for a night on the sofa. Wish me luck ??
Wow, already?!! GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!! (come on you two – the quickest bond in recent history…. da da daaaaaaaa)
Awww! I love the way he lays down
N’awww! That’s too cute.
I am so happy for you. And so jealous. come bond mine….. Pretty please….
They took no time at all to bond!
I love the Union Jack rug, btw.
They are both so easy going, it was the perfect bond. Hopefully it stays that way!
Tonight she’s been grooming him like there’s no tomorrow haha
The rug is from Argos, I had a larger version when I had wooden floor in my house. When Gareth became disabled and lost control of his bladder i decided to get rid and replaced it with the same rug but smaller version
Pfffff who needs Speed-dating….???!!! LOL.
Frank is probably still in shock about where he’s ended up !!
Well this has been uneventful. You didn’t even have to have a naming thread !!
How very boring….
Wow, I missed so many updates! Frank is just gorgeous and he seems to have the sweetest personality. It’s so lovely that he’s settled in so well and the bonding is going smoothly. Wonderful
Does Frank have a sister? You know… for Chewie?
Zou was first demoiselle on Chewie’s list – pfffffff fickle parenting !!
And would continue to be so if I didn’t suspect that they’d chew each other’s faces off.
So you are letting Henry be the guinea pig..?.. So to speak!!
Henry sounds way more laid back than Chewie. His first love is FOOD! Chewie’s is BOSSINESS.
No way – when I first put them together at home (error number 1) Zou started the fight but Henry certainly wasn’t happy until he’d finished it (my leg getting in the way – he didn’t care! Luckily I was wearing jeans…)
“Laid back” is not the word – his permanent mission now is to get over/under or through the XXL xpen. Non stop. He’s learnt how to climb. He tires me out.
You sound like a harassed stay at home mom. lol
I feel like one today….
Instead of putting him in front of a film like a harassed stay at home mom…. I’ve had to put him back in his cage….
AND now he’s on a mission to chew his way of the bars… surely it hurts his teeth… The water spray is on hand and is activated a second after I “NO!” him.
I can’t believe only TWO and a half weeks since op, and another THREE and a half to go before any attempt at bonding
*hug* He’ll come around. It might be a post-op hormonal surge
He might be feeling more active due to all the food he’s been hoovering up? He’s probably never had so much food, and thus energy!
He’s certainly been “popcorning” like a pro these last few days – but you could be right Dface.
The look on his face after a popcorn is a treat! It’s like, “whoooo maaaaan, that was cool, where am I ?…”
I wonder too if its because I’m drying willow in the lounge and his sniffer dog nose knows it’s only a hop, skip and a binky away.
It’s like everything in life, some days you can take it lying down, and some days you take it personally.
@Ax – so sorry, we seem to have hikjacked Frank’s thread !
Oh god I love it when they do that. I really do.
Yumi makes me laugh so hard, because she has really skinny legs and her fur is rigid, so it stays the same and her little legs stick out. She looks ridiculous
but Sampras always makes me nervous. He always manages to do it right into something…
Yeah apologies for contributing to the thread hijack!!
It’s ok, don’t worry about it V haha
I decided to make playlists on youtube of my bun vids, Here is Frank’s:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLk_y-Sik0qfpgTgGVXniOkcJWCvQ43p1X
One is not amused with Frank at the moment. He was rather overzealous with his grooming the other night and she let him
I can’t get over her just letting him pull her hair out… I’ve had notifications on for the last couple of nights since it happened and haven’t seen him do it again but not my girl has a big bolt spot over her eye and the rest of the hair on her head is really thin although it doesn’t look bad on the picture (Black bunny photo’d indoors)
They have a good diet, she hasn’t got any sores/ cuts on her head, no bugs or mites. I think he just got carried away. Breaks my heart watching it on the camera, it goes on for 45 minutes
Sweetpea… His heart’s in the right place, but he obviously tries too hard, and she lets him, dear girl that she is
Ahhh bless. But do you think it hurts her? I don’t, if it’s just the fur that’s gone and not red raw irritated (though the next session it might)….. mine groom for that long….
I’m guessing if she was hurting when he groomed her, she would move….
Could it be that she’s moulting right now? Many buns are doing that now. Some buns get bald spots during moult because it itches and they tend to over-groom, or let themselves be over-groomed.
They are both moulting yes but this was definitely from him pulling her hair, you can see it on the video in my original post. I think it had started to hurt as from watching the bunny cam she does pull away at one point then goes to the other side of the run and she sits away from him for the rest of the night. When I noticed it the morning after it had happened I touched her face to move the remaining hair out of the way to “assess the damage” and she flinched. She avoided being groomed for the following couple of days too.
It doesn’t hurt anymore and we can touch it and she’s not shying away when he goes to groom her which is good, I’ve not noticed any further excessive grooming so I’ll just keep an eye on it for now x
He’s done it again, she now has a line of fur missing on her back
Only difference is this time they had no hay to eat as one of them (Frank)… had thrown it everywhere and messed it up
Hmm, that’s not so good news :/ Could it be a sign of a behavioural problem? If he keeps doing it you may have to ask the vet about it.
Could you put a fluffy with them that you’ve put her fur & smell over?
Frankiepops may like licking “Ikea-bun” instead… just a thought.
This is odd, Ax. He appears to be eating the fur. Plucking her so he can eat the fur?
Any new stress in the household? Does he eat a good amount of hay normally or throw it about?
No new stresses, no change in layout or anything.
They have only recently started throwing the hay about. Since reading your questions I have realised that I am using a different brand of hay. I shall go back to the previous type, hopefully it’ll stop! Poor cinders
