Andi, I didn’t want to add this to BB & Aria’s thread, so I’ve put it here special for you.
So without further ado…
Is something missing?
Yes JR lol. I had to add photo after opening post. Only way I can do it when on a phone.
AH will love that!
So, after you create the post, how do you add the photo? I’ve never figured out how to post a photo from my phone.
I upload a resized photo to Photobucket. Then I copy the HTML sharing code for it and paste that in the Quick Reply box on here.
ETA: I’m not familiar how all phones work but I found a useful trick with mine. If I’ve taken the photo with my phone, I can then take a screenshot of it. The screenshot version is a more suitable size and uploads to Photobucket quickly. I usually crop it a little also, before uploading.
Delightful! AH can wear sth like this in the winter when the temp drops to gruesome 19 degrees (66 F).
AH— I would die in your summers if you think 66F (19C) is cold! It’s finally getting to be spring and reached a whopping 45 F (7.2 C) today! I was out on the porch in a short sleeve t-shirt and barefoot while I was taking the dog to use the bathroom! I then slipped on some shoes and went outside in a short sleeved-shirt! It is beautiful today! ![]()
OMG Kate!!! That is HILLARIOUS!
THANK YOU!!! So classic Australian – yep, that will be my new Winter foot attire, I can’t wait!!! LOL!
I literally can’t stop laughing, wait till I show the hubby and kiddies……. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
PS – Wonder if Mrs BB (Jen) will pick up on this more practical footwear idea??? LOL!!!
Socks with sandals! No no no!
I’d way rather go barefoot, Andi! ![]()
I hear ya Moxie! It’s 50F here and people are running around in shorts and tshirts!
Jerseygirl this is amazing!!! I picked my nephew from school once in the most embarassing baggy sweatpants tucked into my snowboots and nasty hadn’t washed it in 2 days hair. I didn’t think he’d ever forgive me…he acted like he didn’t know me! haha
And your little nieces feet are soooooo cute!!!
I pretty sure you can get socks specifically designed for this. Not all toes separated, just the big toe. Stylish!
Yeah LLH, my nephew kinda gave me this frozen, sideways look when I said I was going do it. Haha
Your sister is BRILLIANT! Lol!
By the way, if anyone is wondering how I got onto the joke of Mrs BB wearing stiletto’s with socks, it started ages and ages ago when she (Jen) started a thread featuring a video of her precious Viv and it highlighted Mr BB (Steve) wearing his socks and sandals LOL! Without taking any notice of the foot size I wrongly accused Jen of the foot attire for her to state in no uncertain terms that it was NOT her feet!!! Ha ha ha ha! Then LPT (I’m sure it was LPT??? Sorry if it wasn’t LPT….) piped up and said Mrs BB would never be seen in socks and sandals – she gets around the house in socks and stiletto’s!
It was so funny, I have never forgotten it – SORRY (Jen) Mrs BB! But it was super funny! Ha ha ha ha ha ha…….
And it’s true!!! Once it hits under 20 degrees here, as far as I am concerned – it’s ‘freezing’! LOL!
Yes Kate, I have seen those socks with the separate big toe… I always wondered why??? DOH! Now I know. Why on earth would anyone want to encourage that? I bet they made a fortune, ha ha ha! Talk about bogan Australia – gotta love us! Ha ha ha ha!
PS – I could just imagine your nephew pretending he didn’t know you, ha ha! And it’s good to see your getting into practice with your nephew LLH!
And don’t you dare Amanda – don’t make me start a BB barefoot BAN?
LOL!
AH – you would die if you saw my feet. I HATE socks and shoes generally. As soon as I walk in the door, off goes the shoes! I go outside barefoot in most weather. Although, in winter its just across the porch to moms apartment. I admit, by evening in the summer, my feet are pretty dirty >.< But socks just feel binding and annoying. My husband is completely opposite. I honestly think he would wear socks in the shower if he could.
So sorry, I would have to start the barefoot rebellion if you start a ban. Lol <3
Have I told you how awesome I think your hubby is BM??? Socks in the shower, mmmmm………. I would if I could!!!
LOL!!!
PS – My hubby gets around barefoot and I cringe when he gets into bed wondering what dirt is stuck to his feet and he is ultimately sharing with me, YUCK! I am seriously considering starting the BB barefoot BAN if you keep this behaviour up and I’ll have YOU in my sights! Ha ha ha!
I forgot to say BM….. like you with your shoes – as soon as I get home, OFF comes the BRA!
LOL!
Definitely AH – when I walk in the door, its like a (pg rated) strip show! Lol off goes the shoes, the bra, the purse, the jeans, helloooooooo comfy pants! Lol
LOL!!! Your my complete package BM (except the shoes)! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
PS – If I can’t be bothered to change out of my jeans/pants, I compensate by undoing the ZIP! He he he he…..
I think those socks probably originated from Japan? I’m thinking of that traditional costume with white socks, black sandals/flip-flops and a kimono.
Bit out of place worn here probably.
Ahhhh YES! Of coarse! But I still like our Aussie take on it though, ha ha ha! Trust us to turn something traditional and beautiful into something tragic!
LOL!
PS – After seeing your niece I remembered why it was so important to keep a roll of TAPE on hand…… ha ha ha! I’ll say it again, bloody brilliant!
The Japanese socks with spearation between big toe and other toes are called tabi.
I know this because as a child I had a children’s book about a girl who went to Japan and got to wear their traditional clothes, Obi, tabi and pokuri. Obi is the belt on the kimono, pokuri are the sandals.
The tape on the niece’s feet really is the icing on the cake.
A little off topic, but on the idea of kids pretending they don’t know you . . .
I have a friend who is absolutely outrageous. Her son used to go to her mother’s (his grandmother) house after school, and the grandmother complained that he was hanging around with kids at the bus stop forever in the afternoon. My friend told her mom how to fix that problem (where he could hear her) — told her to put curlers in her hair, put on a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers, pop open a beer, and head to the bus stop calling his name and retrieve him. He never lingered at the bus stop again. He wasn’t sure if his grandmother would actually do it, but he KNEW his mother would!
LOL JR!!! If that was me, add a fag hanging out of my mouth toooo! Ha ha ha ha! Hilarious!
PS – So…. I’ll get along with your family AND friend??? LOL!
