My little bun Sora, has such tiny front feet and his back feet are slim as well.  He is little and quick.  My lop, Roxas, who is full grown has such giant feet comparatively, and is twice Sora ‘ s size already.  From 2 months to 3 months (if those ages are accurate) he only grew a few ounces (from 3 lbs to 3.6)  I am beginning to wonder if he is more of a mini rex than a rex.  I know waiting will tell, but I find myself wondering as I keep rearranging the bun space.  any ideas?  Do small baby feet predict a smaller rabbit?

I dont know if that’s true, but I think a Mini Rex is a bit more common than a full Rex. Your bunnies feet may still be growing as well, but you won’t really know how big he will be until he is a year old.

My bunny was estimated by the rescue to be a year and a half, but when my vet just weighed him, looking at his chart and growth rate she told me he was no more than 7 months old when he got to the rescue, so it’s very hard to tell size until they, well, grow into it. Tiny feet sound very cute. Be sure to watch the bottoms for any redness which is the start of sore hocks. They can get them easily, especially rexes, but are also easily treated. Very soft smooth floor are not necessarily better for them. (But no wire bottoms, Please.)

Thanks! I am leaning toward minirex. Both rabbits have a mix of carpet (run in the room time) and fleece over foam floors. So i am hoping it will be alright on their feet. My lop has the beginnings of sore hocks. we just got him last weekend and while he was nicely socialized (spent time with family) I believe his cage was wire bottom. My vet said that it was in early stages (like a callous) and his feet will likely heal now that he is off the wire floors, but we are keeping an eye on it.
