Coco only flicks me if I have done something to HIGHLY offend her. In the past year and a half, I think I have only been flicked after things like anal gland cleaning.
Jackson, on the other hand, flicks ALL the time. He has very big furry feet, So it gives an extra swoosh sound. He flicks when he gets a piece of salad he particularly likes – grabs it and flicks away…He also does this when he has really been enjoying a nose rub – then he realizes that it was Me, and he isn’t ready to be so friendly with me, so off he flicks. He seems to do it as a tease, or a Hah-Ha, I have this big piece of romaine!
The funny thing is that since Jackson, I realized that it must have taken me a good year to get in a groove with Coco’s body language. He is a very different rabbit entirely and has only been here five months. He still bolts sometimes like he is sure we have decided to eat him. Coco just watches him as he flicks and runs like he has lost his mind.
