I have two dwarf rabbits, one male (Bob), one female (Minnie), both fixed. The male has recently gotten aggressive at mealtimes. I feed pellets in the morning and veggies in the evening with hay refills at both times. He will growl and nip, and chase Min away even before I set the food down. I’ve tried feeding in separate bowls on opposite sides of the pen, but he still goes out of his way to find the other bowl and bother Min. She, of course, will have none of it and nips back, resulting in the two of them chasing each other around the pen. Some days are worse than others; most days only have a few growls or mild chasing before they settle down, but others can go on for a few minutes and I have to separate them. Bob also sometimes carries off leaves or small treats and hides inside a box or hidey house while he eats it. I don’t want the buns to hurt each other or someone else, but I’m not sure how to stop them from fighting.
