The vet I have been taking Sprinkles to is extremely good … He gave me some very informative and good advice about the Flopsy Syndrome and if it occurs what to do.

If your bunny is experiencing the symptoms of flopsy wrap him up so he cannot move about.  Apparently, the more the bunny moves around the quicker he will deteriorate.  The vet indicated more bunnies survive by performing this procedure.  Wish I had known beforehand.

This has been known for hundreds of years and all bunny vets/breeders should know about this (if they are any good, of course).

Just thought I’d share this with everyone.

Its a touchy subject and a lot is not really know about the syndrome, but the experts/vets believe it is a lack of Vitamin E and rabbits who have experienced the sydrome and survive are apparently prone to it again.

Lily had two episodes of the syndrome, however, the first time she pulled through ok.  But sad to say the second time Lily did not.

Here is some reading for you.  Its quite interesting.
