  Hi everyone! So, I just built the bunnies a sort of shelf/second floor thing, and now I need to decide what to do with their flooring. The second floor is held up by 2 wooden sticks, and there are wire shelving units as the floor (the bunnies feet are not on this at all. I just used the wire to hold up their big cushion), and on top of the wire is this big velvet seat cushion thing.
  
  As for the 1st floor, for the past year I’ve been using towels and sheets (now I’ve switched to an old comfoter). It’s SUPER hard to clean, the bunnies like dragging their hay all over and it’s very hard to sweep, and it’s one of the bunnies FAVORITE things to chew (not eat, just chew then spit out ).
  
  What do you use as the flooring? I’ve been thinking (I saw this in a rabbit video) of putting a piece of wood as the flooring, and then gluing on a piece of wrapping paper (either the decorated one, but it would be so the bunnies can’t chew it at all, or a brown paper one).

  Not sure what your exact setup is but could a dog crate tray act as the base of the enclosure? Petco sells various sized of replacement trays. The tray Ralphie is on is great- super easy to clean or sweep and enough traction where he’s not slipping.

  When I had my xpen set up as the main enclosure I used a sheet of plywood covered with those stick on vinyl tiles from Home Depot and just made sure that Ralphie couldn’t reach the edges to chew it. It cleaned up very easily too.

  Vinyl tiles on plywood or sheet vinyl (we found some for Kieko’s condo flooring that had that wood look and was a little textured so not so slippery). However, when we re-floored the new bunny room with LVP, Marlee decided that the vinyl was not good enough for her precious feet to touch so we have fleece over top of the vinyl (attached to the xpens with binder clips)! Indoor/outdoor carpet works too. The gray kind at Lowes looks exactly the same as what LiethPetwerks uses on their ramps and carpeted levels.

  Mine are just on linoleum, with a few layers of towels and fleece on top because my bunnies hate slippery floors. I find that if fleece is pulled taught it is rather easy to sweep.
