        Long story short.

My parents re-use my bedroom floors from carpet to hardwood recently. As one can imagine Rigel and Edana don’t like it. They tend to stay in their hide-houses which makes things a bit trickier to let them out of their area for play time.

After re-doing the floor and all sorts of bills we don’t have enough money for a play time carpet. Puzzle mats aren’t sold around here at least not from what I have seen.

        What can I do?

I was thinking of perhaps using blankets yet they’re rather light which means they don’t have cotton [or at least not much] inside them.

If the space is small you could use towels. My bunny loves playing with/on towels (pushing, digging, and grooming). If you have a big area you could use a blanket/sheet,a rug, or fleece.

Another option to covering the entire space would be to make a path (of fleece, towels, etc) for them to hop around on. I didn’t cover the entire area when my bunny played, but eventually she slowly became used to the hardwood floor and doesn’t mind hopping on it, though she prefers to sit and lay on rugs and towels.
