So I recently got a two story rabbit hutch for my big guy. It’s all wood and a lot of room for him to hop around when I’m at work.  (he has the whole house when i’m home). my problem is the floor of hte hutch is plastic trays.  he slids too much. to move around a lot. Is there something I can coat it with that won’t hurt his paws.  I considered grip tape in spots. but I’m concerned that will be too rough for him. What can I use to give my guy some traction?

I’m having a similar issue with my bun. His cage makes him slide everywhere. I came up with the idea of putting a bathroom rug in there because its fluffy and has grips on the bottom so it wont slide. You could try that.

I agree with onyx moon. Otherwise, you could try blankets or fleece, but they may slip. I use puzzle mats with fleece on top that is tucked under.
