My rabbit ,Cosmo, is about 11 weeks old and every night he flips over his food bowl and makes a mess with his food. I read that this is because of boredom but he has a lot of toys and things to keep him busy so I don’t know what the reason is.

Some bunnies just like flipping things even if they have a million “toys”. They don’t recognise that it’s a food bowl and not a toy, so I would advise to just get a heavier bowl (a lot of people use ceramic bowls) that he can’t flip over

Some favourite bunny toys are baby plastic keys, stacking cups, toilet paper tubes, cardboard boxes or edible things like a willow ball or apple sticks.

I agree with kurottabun getting your rabbit a more substantial bowl will discourage him from flipping over his bowl. I have another suggestion too. Try hand feeding him, and it will help you bond with your bunny. Ceramic is an excellent material to use for plates and bowls to feed him on. The elements I would stay away from is plastic and metal. These types of dishes are bound to be flipped over. The dollar tree or 99 cent stores carry tons of ceramic plates and bowls for 1 dollar, definitely worth checking out.

If you want your bun to stop flipping the bowl, I agree getting a heavy ceramic bowl is a good option. We personally just let our bun play with her bowl. As long as she is happy, we’re happy I draw the line at her water bowl, which is a very heavy ceramic bowl. Her salad bowl, on the hand, is a flimsy plastic thing she can play with to her heart’s content!

Thanks for all the help I got a heavier bowl for his pellets and used his old bowl for hay and he stopped flipping it
