        Hi everyone!
My rabbit has recently started to flinch every time I touch his bum. He is currently at the end of a heavy molt so I figured maybe he is just sensitive? Has anyone experienced this? He is typicallya love bug, great about being picked up, touched etc but recently he started flinching to touch. He was also flinching when he was grooming himself which was weird. I thought at first it could be matts in his fur that was causing him pain, but I checked his underside and brushed him out and didnt find any matts ( hule is prone to matts though on his underbelly because he has too much hair under there) He is also not overweight. He just had a health check a week ago and they said his weight was perfect for him.

He is a 2 and a half year old male and he is neutered. Any advice is much appreciated!

Hmm I’m not sure what could be the exact cause, but I find that rabbits going through a heavy moult ARE often extra sensitive (and frustrated). Is he exhibiting any other signs apart from the flinching? Is he pooping, eating and drinking normally?

Yeah he is eating and pooping normally. He was flicking his feet at me, but I just think that was because he was annoyed that I was touching the spot that was flinching
