I know NOTHING about fleas. When I was a kid and we had dogs my parents gave the dogs “flea-dips”–some sort of bath with flea-poison. And then they had the anti-flea collar things…
So I caught Robbie the Rabbit in the park, and he was infested with fleas (this was on Friday). I IMMEDIATELY took him to the vet, who gave me kitten/puppy Revolution, and told me to use half a dose. But each dose is one itty-bitty clear tube with .25 ml (for the laymen–about 2 drops!) of clear fluid, and with a squirmy frightened feral rabbit, I managed to dump the whole thing on the back of his neck. And then I freaked out, thinking I was going to poison him, and tried to swipe some away. I did better with Lizzy’s dose (did them both just to be safe). But I was feeding Robbie just now, and saw a buggy on his nose. Assuming it was a flea…what else could it be?
I’m flea-illiterate…do I give him another dose, assuming I botched the last one entirely? How do I keep the fleas from getting in my rugs/bedding/furniture without killing my bunnies, who are all over all of them all the time? I haven’t seen any, except the one I thought I saw on Robbie’s nose (and it disappeared before I could get it), but I’m paranoid.
Help!?
I hate bugs…
