        Hello!

Tomorrow will be Muffin and Munchie’s first time outside in the garden, they will be given a very large portion of it! But I’m very wary of them digging up and eating worms-is it as bad as I think? How hard is it to get them back inside? What if they dig their way out? I’m super nervous  Anything else I should look out for?

Me and my dad are making a DIY run and its super simple! You’ll need:

-Mesh wire fencing-a bit like chicken wire

-Wire roll (to hold everything together)

-Tent pegs (to hold it down)

Bend the mesh wire fencing into your desired shape and tie together using wire roll/zip ties.

Use the tent pegs inbetween the holes of your fencing and repeat however many times you want.

        Done!

        Pictures coming soon!

        Thanku Xx

Rabbits love to dig and they can dig their way out of a structure unless it is enclosed with fencing on all sides, including the bottom. If a rabbit is outside, there are parasites to deal with – fleas, ticks, flies, and it can get worms if it eats vegetation that another animal has used the bathroom on. A rabbit can eat plants that it shouldn’t be eating. You also have to be very aware of predators. They can come out of nowhere, even in a fenced yard and frighten a rabbit into injuring itself.

Hi! Like Tobyluv has mentioned they are profound diggers and if the ground isn’t too hard it can only take a few minutes for them to make the starts of a burrow.

I live in the u.k so I don’t have problems with worms from other animals (unless you count my dogs but they don’t have worms ). I don’t have problems with fleas or ticks either but it can be an issue.

Regarding the run, chicken wire can be chewed through within seconds from a fox or predator (not sure what predators you have). I advise 16G mesh if anything and I also advise supervision at all times. xx I’m a bit late to this so I hope they had a lovely time outside
