came home after work today and decided to make jack his new cage, his old store bought one seemed too small for him. It took me probably about 5 hours to make
Good job! What does Jack think of it? And where are some recent Jack pics, hmmmmm? *poke*
I’ve already yelled at him for only having 2 photos of Jack. Two weeks ago he fit into your hand and now he’s twice as big. How dare you post just photos of the new cage and none of Jack. ![]()
P.S. Indy says “WHERE IS MINE!?”
That’s a really nice cage! I’m sure he loves it.
Wow! You’re good! Lucky bunny.
lol, he seems to love his new home. hes already running up and down the ramp. when i open it up he likes to be on top to say hi. Ive taken some pics of his last night and today. ill have to put them up. And you can tell Indy that ill start making his when his mom tells me how big she wants it. 0.o
lol i just realized how much of a guys room that corner is, got my racing stuff piled ontop of the cage already. Got my big tv, ps3, guitars and hand weights right next to it. I wouldnt want it anyother way either lol
Well I can drop off some barbies and dresses if you want to get more in touch with your fem side :p I haven’t decided how large I want to make it, Maybe I wanna go all and have it be 3 stories!!!
lol. you can keep your barbies ty. Heck, whatever you can immagine, ill build it. i think a 3 story one mught be pretty cool
here are some new pics of him.

Awwww! So cute! I love the cage! Want to make me one after Lintini’s?
Hahaha
Yeah, I noticed the messy guy room too…
Nice guitar! Fender? I have a Fender Strat… Bought it 4 years ago with the intention to learn to play and… well… I can play a few chords
I do better at violin… been playing violin for 12 years.
lol ty. i should get in the cage building buisness. I kind of wish thats a fender, but its just a cheap practice guitar i got to learn on. i havent played it for a long time though
here are some more pics of him enjoying his new cage.

hehehehe *bunnynaps*
My hubby has a Fender made in the 70s… he <3s it.
Is Jack a brother of Blossom?
Yes he is!
gorgeous cage! I wish I was handy like that.
ty. i like being handy and able to make and fix stuff on myown. i hate having to pay someone to do something for me. Building it myself gives me so much more fulfillment than if i just went out and bought one. hehe, and its a whole lot cheaper too
Wish I was as handy too. Be good to knock out a peice of furniture after work one day! Looks like it got bunny approval too!
I do have one teeny suggestion to make….maybe put some wood beading over the wire edges? So no little bunny lips or bunny teeth can pull at it & no little bunny butt catches on it.
yea, i was wondering about the wire myself, ive already gone along the edge and gotten rid of all thee sharp points, but im still wanting to put something over it so he wont try and chew on it or something
Ya you got some left over wood to make trim around it?
VERY NICE! yep, total dude room. But that’s a good thing. I am always happy to see more guys in the mix. Actually when I was volunteering, it definitely became more common that guys were adopting. My best friends boyfriend has had two bunnies for many years now (saved one from a disgusting state-fair situation) and the News Director at a TV station I used to work could talk your ear off about his rabbit. It’s just becoming much more common and I’m happy to see it! Clint Eastwood has a house rabbit too. Love it!
Anyway, back to your DIY bunny house. You should make a bunch of those and sell them locally through craigslist or something. What’s also really great about it is the easy access for cleaning, feeding etc, Anyway Good Job!
One suggestion: You may want to add some sort of washable flooring – You could line it with contact paper, sheet vinyl or cloroplast? Though that can make things a little slippy – but you could also add some sort of cloth or rug to throw in on top of that that could be easily shaken out and/or washed.
Wood flooring can soak in the urine and it’s very hard to get the “scent” out once it’s been
I love the pictures of Jack relaxing in his cage!
yea, ive been meaning to find something to line the floors with. ive got a towel on the bottom level since thats where his food and litter box is. luckily hes already really good about peeing in his littler box…. and as lintini would point out, me (just once though). im planning on putting a linoleum or something on the floor and then fleece over it so hes got something soft and dry to be on
