  So 2/4/07, I took Oren on his first date. She is a 4 month old Lilac American Fuzzy Lop. Being this is my/his first time, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. My tall, dark, and handsome *in bunny standards* little fellow decided he wanted to be a Mama’s boy for a little while and stay by my feet when I put him down into the pen. They eventually approached each other, she actually had to nudge him first. We stayed for about 30 min, they did some ear licking and grooming so I figured it was a good sign. She is a LOT different than he is, makes a lot of noise and thumps. I have never heard him thump before this date. His ears don’t much too much either just going up when he yawns. Her ears are like helicopter blades. Two days later she is still very timid toward my housemate and I, but will follow Oren where ever he goes even into his cage. I swear he gave her a "what are you doing in here" look when she first did it last night. He has gotten more active in the last few days and seems happier to chase and be chased. I think this has been a good decision. She has been doing some binkies so I think she will be fine as well.
  
  Any suggestions on names? His middle name is de Zomer which means Summer when he was born, her middle name will be Autumn for the same reason. Having trouble on a first name. I am a bad bunny photographer, excuse the demon eyes, hope you all enjoy.

  Oh Donna, they are both so cute. She needs a diva name, I think. She’s a little spitfire, I can tell. I think she is befitting of Calypso. In greek mythology, Calypso held men prisoner on her island where times passes in reality, but no time passes in her little garden of eden. They want to be held her captive. For some reason, your little girl reminds me of her!

  they look so cute together! it sounds like the bonding process is really coming along very well too. bunnies with helicopter ears are really fun, since you can often tell what they’re up to / moods based on their ears!
  
  i was asking my hubby what name is a good match for Oren and he suggested Lauren – but they seem too similar to me. picking names is hard! she’s fluffy cute – so i think a name to reflect that would suit her, Maybe Pippin (or Pipkin from watership down)

  I still do not have a name! Only ones that I have come up with are Calla *a lily*, Dmh’s suggestion made me think of it, Sering, Lelie, and Anneke. Jasmine sounds nice too. He is fixed and I am planning on getting her fixed when she is around 6 months.

  She looks like a Gillian to me. But I have a strange idea of what names are neat. ie. I was also thinking of naming Cassandra (aka Cassy) Gwenifer…

  But I think she reminds me most of those beautiful dark clouds right before pouring rain. They are called Nimbostratus. Maybe you could use all or part of that name, or change it into something cute. And since she’s a thumper, that could account for the "thunder’ that can accompany those types of clouds.
  
  It sounds like things are going well with those two. Just watch carefully as she continues to reach sexual maturity, she may get really bossy and sometimes that can cause a problem. It seems like though, your guy is pretty easy going with her attitude so far, so that’s a good sign.
  
  She also might instigate poop wars.

  Finally, a name! It is sort of lame but I was not coming up with anything. I am going with Calil Autumn. Took some influences here and there. Heh, and since she is a Lilac, I well sort of… umm… spelled it backwards and got a name. Yayy! Had to name her something or otherwise she would start thinking that Pretty Girl was her name. Thanks so much for the help and suggestions.

  I’ll echo what BinkyBunny said about keeping an eye on her once her hormones kick in. You’ll want to make sure she’s not being too aggressive with Oren.

  Cute name! But "Pretty Girl" didn’t sound so bad either…. I’m sure Sable thinks his name is "Little Fart"
