After what seems like forever I finally got a rabbit. It was completely unplanned and unexpected. I had planned on getting one from a rescue near where my dad lives but still haven’t been able to get there. No worries though 6 rabbits I had on hold were adopted by my dad, stepmother, and grandma yay
. I was out this morning running errands with my mom when she sees a man with a little black thing. I thought it was a puppy shhhh lol. Anyway he is standing across from the animal shelter pacing so we go over and see if he needs help. Turns out he got the bunny as a newborn and hand fed him but now had to move out of the country and couldn’t take his rabbit so he was bringing it to the shelter. But he had been pacing in front of it for 30 minutes not wanting to take him in. I offered to take him and told him what the setup was like lol he of course didn’t trust that so my mom ran home and took pictures of it and showed him. He was impressed so he handed him over but not without a few tears which made me tear up!
So now I am the proud owner of a 7 week old lionhead rabbit. He is completely black with just one white foot. I don’t have a picture yet since my camera sucks so I am taking a video which will be up soon. The bad part on my end I DIDN’T ASK WHAT HIS NAME WAS! So now he has no name. If anyone wants to suggest any feel free.
So far I like these names
Bam Bam (he immediatly thumped at my fish tank when I put him down and he seen it)
Friedrick
Wally
Buster
Dasher
Fred
Midnight
Kit (yes after kit on Knight Rider)
Video and if I can a picture will be up soon
EDIT: Here are the pictures and video sorry for the really really bad quality I am hoping for a new camera soon lol
Yeah he looks terrified because he is this is apparently his favorite hiding spot.

The little pink thing is a ball that he likes to sling around when I am not watching lol
He is rather dirty I when he get used to being here I am going to brush him down
If the pictures are too big I can resize them.

Oh what a great way to get a rabbit! I really need to see a picture in order to figure out a name! Keep us updated.
Edited: How about Pacer! His former owner was pacing when you found him!
what an amazing story! isn’t it funny how things work out sometimes! he is gorgeous!
Awe. Too bad y’all didn’t get each other’s addy or phone #’s. Not even a name heheehee. OH I bet you were so excited to have the bun. That poor man. I hope he feels better now that bun went to a nice home. 1 white foot oh my gosh. He looks so cute the little fuzzball.
I like Bam Bam by the way
Yeah when I got about halfway home I was looking at him and asked my mom “Do you remember what this little guys name is” and then she informed me that I didn’t ask lol. I have pretty much decided on Bam Bam as a name since every time my Blood Parrot (fish) comes to the side of the tank he thumps. That might change in a few days or not we’ll see.
aw what a lovely bun! keep us posted on what you name him!
Bam Bam is cute… although Pacer is a sweet tribute to how you got him! I would vote for either of those ![]()
Yeah I am going back and forth between Bam Bam and Pacer lol
or Pacey…
Congratulations! What a fluff-ball he is! (I like Bam-Bam…very cute!)
The bun also seems to like pacing as well…
Awwww, I bet that gentleman is very relieved his little rabbit got to go home with you guys.
What a lucky bunny!!! “Lucky” came into my mind, but that’s kind of cheesy. “Fortunato” means lucky in Italian.
I actually like Pacer a lot. It sounds good when you call that name. “Pacer! Where are you? Paaaacerrrrr! Pacey, where are you hiding?” You could always call him Pacey as a nickname…
Cute little bunny boy! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Hehe I thought about Lucky but one of my dogs name is Lucky. I like Pacey as well hmmm just don’t know yet lol.
combine the two:
Sir Bam Bam Pace-a-lot…
I thought about combining the names I have gotten suggestions like yours Sir Bam Bam Pace-a-lot, Pacer Bam Bam, Bam Bam Pacey, Bam Pacey Bam, Pac-Bam (that one made me laugh), and this was from my brother-in-law who is terrified of rabbits Evil Genius Bam Vam Pacer.
“Terrified” of rabbits? Really? Terrified? Is it like a weird being-afraid-of-clowns type of thing? Or is he honestly afraid of them? Weird..
my dog is terrified of moreland!
and thats a fact he wont even step foot by him.
some of my relatives are afraid of them too it is too funny.
Sir Bam Bam Pace a Lot thats cute. Bam von Pacenbun
^^^lol!
I just saw this now-what a wonderful way to get a bunny…That man sounds so sweet-hand raising a bunny and tearing up (Tell me, where did you last see him, and was he hot, approximate age?
LOL)
Very cute bunny -Congrats!! You’ll have to let us know what the name is officially when you decide! I really like bam-bam
(For some reason lionheads are little stomping machines!)
LOL well he was about 24 years old quite handsome but rather short for my taste LOL!
Haven’t decided on a name my mom calls him Bam Bam my step dad calls him Pacey and my little 3 year old cousin calls him Pac-Bam (cause he said it sounds like Batman lol) and I have been calling him little bunny until I give him an official name
Well after back and forth I have decided to call him Pacey
