Here are some pictures of Ferns new condo, It has the mats from the Binky bunny store in it.
Fern loves her new condo, I often find her at the top! She already managed to make it messy by digging her hay dispenser….. She loves it though, I like seeing her hop all the way to the top!
After over 1000 zipties, three packs of neat idea cubes, and trying to cut coroplast perfectly (as the flooring) she better be happy.
I feel obliged to build Fern nice and big condos becuse she enjoys them so much. She doesn’t really play with her toys so this is what she enjoys!
She does enjoy digging in her digging box and playing (digging and hiding in) her cardboard boxes. Lately, I was happy to hear fern playing with her jellyfish, you can’t see it in the picture.
Even though she woke me up at 5:00 playing with the jelly fish, I was still happy she was having fun! She was actually digging it in the air (becuase it is hanging in the air) she was doing a vertical dig!
I also recently gave her her diggy box back, (she peed in it) and she has a party with it at around 5:30 in the morning! NOT anytime else. Only in the early morning!
I find it amusing that she enjoys digging so much! and a diggy box is cheap and easy!
Well she enjoys her condo too and I am also happy with it! It is much better than the old one.

Is this just me or did something go wrong?
Something is definitely wrong yet I don’t know how to fix it.
looks fine to me! its amazing! im sure she loves it!
Really? on my computer the pictures are shown to overlap the posts and the bottem reply box. thats good that it does not for anyone else.
It shows up fine for me as well. It looks great! I wish I could build mine up. Rabbits sure seem to enjoy going upwards. That’s a neat idea, the coroplast as shelves! I thought they discontinued the green stuff though.
Wow, that isn’t just a condo, that’s the Bunny Taj Mahal!!!
Very cool, MoonlightWolf! You obviously spent a ton of time on it! So glad Fern’s having such a good time!
i love it! Fern is such a lucky girl! the green cloroplast is very striking too!
i see you have a baby gate up, have you given any thought to bunny-proofing your whole bedroom so the additional pen is not necessary and then she could be in the condo at night?
Can Fern get thru the baby gate? We have 2 baby gates up in our house- 1 for cats room to keep dogs out of litterbox and another for our bedroom to keep dogs in at night. I bought ones that are similar to yours- cats can squeeze thru on the side. Cotton got upstairs- slipped thru the cats room babygate and peed and pood on the cats litter mat- like “there take that, these will belong to me too!”
I love the condo and I know cutting Coroplast in big sections can be so difficult. Especially when it is does not run along the lines in the Coroplast (opposite direction). And trying to cut all the way through on some cuts- but only cutting half thru to fold up an edge…
I did learn not to cut in on the floor with carpet otherwise I am too freaked out to press hard enough on blade- cement basement floor works much better. But you did a great job- looks professional and it looks like you had no mis-cuts or oopsies like I have experienced and had to fix. ![]()
Sorry, I had to erase some of the pictures, because they were doing something whacky. Did you use normal HTML code to post the pictures? If not, that would explain why some saw it correctly and others didn’t.
All I can say is “WOW”!!! That’s a bunny mansion!
Thanks guys!
Yes it took a bit of looking around to find a good coroplast store, and I ended up miscalculating and buying way too much! I bought three sheets and I have one full sheet left and lots of scraps. It was pretty tricky cutting the coroplast, but I said to my mom that she had to help me with one thing on Fern’s cage, so she held a ruler and I cut. It worked out pretty well.
But I like the coroplast a lot. The thing I like about it the most is that Fern does not chew it, she tried once but I guess it was not “fun”.
Yes Becka I am still considering opening up the rest of my room to Fern, I was kind of waiting till she was spayed to expand on my thoughts because I wanted all the little devil bunny hormones OUT. Fern, surprisingly does not chew wood that much. she likes to dig and explore, but otherwise she does not really destroy things…. except fabric. I sat with fern for a lot of saturday and was sad to find that she had chewed my shirt while I was intent on my video games, (I sometimes bring her down to the living room so she can keep me company while I watch TV or play video games) but that’s OK, how can you be mad at a cute bunny face for long?
But Fern actually is allowed in the pen day and night. In the early morning is when she decides to dig in her diggy box or do laps around her pen.
KatnipCrzy, No Fern cannot get through the baby gate thankfully. I was worried about her being able to get through because the bars are spaced pretty widely, so I installed some chicken wire in it and voila problem solved! I made sure that the chicken wire overlapped so it went past the end of the gate and there are no gaps, it does not really show the gate very well in the picture.
To cut the coroplast I used some extra linoleum from my other cage and put the coroplast on top of it when I cut it so the floors did not get ruined.
Binky bunny, I don’t know what happened, I just cut and pasted them from photoshop…
Thanks for all your comments on the condo!
What is the coroplast stck there with/on? I’d love to try it because wood is a bit too heavy for my NIC condo and I have a sheet of coroplast in my garage.
The coroplast is laid on Neat Idea cubes, and the neat Idea cubes are supported by PVC piping. The coroplast is clipped onto the NIC with binder clips to prevent it from sliding off the cubes.
Wow, you’ve come up with some smart solutions!
Gosh some people are just so doggone talented. Leaves me out.
What a nice condo. Great skills to put that together.
