I have a question about humping and if i’m going about it the right way.  My rabbit is a 6 month french lop and she’s getting spayed this Thursday.  She’s not agressive, but when i get in her xpen with her to spend some time with her she runs around my legs and does funny grunts and buzzing noises then when i kneel down she puts her front paws on my knee and she starts to hump me.  Causing me to use this moment to give her more LOVE!  It’s one of the moments she’ll let me pick her up in her distraction.  So I scoop her up and once in my arms she’ll settle down and let me pet her for a bit before hopping out of my arms.  Then the cycle will begin again. Circling me, humping and I scoop up and give a hug.  I guess its’ my version of “killing her with kindness.”  But I’m wondering if this is encouraging the humping…  But before this I wasn’t able to pick her up at all but after a week of this technique she even lets me flip her over like a baby in my arms sometimes.  Is that a bad thing?  I dont’ let her hump me just within milliseconds of her starting i scoop her up!

It probably is encouraging her to do it more, but hey… who of us doesn’t want extra snuggle time if we can get it?
