My female rabbit is aggressively honking and circling for two days now. Like non stop she can’t be alone for a second she needs to be right next to me. She does figure 8s around my feet and even circles and honks me when I try to pet her on the floor. I know she doesn’t want food because she literally hopped away from parsley to be closer to me. I know she is 5.5 months old so probably hitting puberty is the main cause, but I have only found this behavior common in males. Is it common for females?

Yes, both males and females will do this if they’re not fixed.

As stated, males and females can display the same hormonal behaviors. This includes humping! The only exception I can think of is false pregnancies, which is female exclusive, haha.

Yep, hormones are to blame! Are you planning to get her spayed?

Glad you have her booked! It is for the best!

Just to make sure you got this info from your vet: Be sure they send you home with pain meds and some critical care in case you need to syringe feed her a little. And she should NOT be fasted before the procedure!

Oh yes, females do this too. Glad to hear your appointment is soon. I agree with Dana. Make sure (at the very least) you are sent home with adequate pain meds.
