the hay is the most important part of her diet. she should get unlimited TIMOTHY hay since she is a grown bunny.

is she getting 2-4 cups of veggies a day? what kind are you feeding?

how many pellets are you feeding? her pellets should be timothy based, with no colored cereal bits or seeds. for her size, you should be good feeding no more than 1/4 cup of pellets a day.

treats must be very very limited, no more than a tiny bit of fruit 3x a week. carrots must be limited as well. one baby carrot can last her an entire week.

she needs to have access to fresh hay 24/7.

this is the BinkyBunny diet info page… binkybunny.com/Default.aspx

from that page:  this is what the treats should be like… the carrot is too high in sugar. so no more than a couple slivers 3 x per week…

I feed my buns a green veggie in the A.M. usually Parsley, then they get another green veggie usually Green or Red lettuce in the evening as well as 1/2 cup of pellets for each bunnie, They eat the Martin Fat bunny food.   And  of course unlimited timothy hay is always available.

At night, but not every night I will sit down with them with a small piece of banana for Carmel and Flopsy will eat a baby carrot or a slice of apple.  They are great at begging for more esp. Carmel I don’t know where he puts it, the little piggy!

Since bunnies naturally eat around dawn and dusk, that is probably the “ideal” time to feed them, and to make sure they have plenty of hay. I think that feeding them any time is probably OK, I find that my bunnies do much better when they are on a schedule because they don’t like change all that much, so whenever you decide to feed them, try to keep it somewhat consistent!
